Evening all.

Hand operated water pump in the City of London.
The pump stood over a well erected 1799 outside the Royal Exchange, Cornhill, City Of London
OH if confirmed.

May I refer to post 9513 by Broadreach, I believe that site was formerly "The Gas Works" with 2 very large cylinders to the left of the photograph.
Coal was brought to the site in steam lorries, at least they were when I was a lad.

Sultan, Wikipedia says:

The Cambridge Museum of Technology is an industrial heritage museum situated in Cambridge, England. The original building, a Scheduled Ancient Monument,[1] housed a combined sewage pumping and waste destructor station built in 1894.

It's adjacent to the "new" Tesco. Might you be thinking of another tower?

Pugs, forgive me for jumping the queue; just to keep WoE on Page 1:

I think this one's been used before but it was years ago and the place is still there.

No problem, broadreach. I did call OH at #9522, so no worries.
Not a clue about your challenge though. Looking.

Hi Brodreach great to hear from you again. You did indeed use this in a previous life but I couldn't remember it. I found it by searching through pages of "Buildings with porthole facades".

I believe it is the Hotel Unique in Sao Paulo Brazil.
OH if correct as I will be out most of the day.

Correct Rule 3, Hotel Unique in Sao Paulo. Rooms are a tremendous waste of space but the bar on the roof is very nice.

Rule 3 has called Open House

I will make use of that OH and post this.

Some of you will no doubt get this immediately, especially if you're of a certain age.

Bingo.

I was hoping the mock roman/greco architecture combined with rare sunshine would throw people off.

Open House enacted. Who's next.

reynoldsno1........

The writing on the facade gave it away.
PS. Loved Hanoi, especially the old quarter. Crossing an intersection was fun. Find a tiny gap and walk straight ahead. Hopefully the motorcycles will miss you as they try to miss all the other motorcycles.
