My first thought was South Australia. One of the Murray River car ferry crossings, however the water looks too blue.

Could be a coastal town and by the style of building, an old customs house. Doesn't look like Queensland vegetation, could be southern West Australia.

Being pedantic, but antipodes is generally taken to mean AU and NZ, however that is not the correct geographical definition as 'antipodes' means hemispherically opposite to where you are.

On that basis, is this in South Africa, specifically northern KwaZuluNatal?

Here's a great little device to find the antipodes of anywhere on earth :

Shadows look almost overhead so is it in Northern territories or northern Queensland?

Nobody fast with their Google Earth. I have to go so I will leave the Lat/Long.

S 20.40,40 E 117.11,17.

It's the courthouse of a small pearl fishing town that was abandoned when they invented artificial pearls. Not a lot of it left except one of the stores and the hotel which is still being used.

The name resembles a bunch of Russian Horsemen.

There's a tiny little island off Comino, don't know what it's called, perhaps Jenkins is right. Good shot if so.
