fate can really mess things up

I already posted this in Private flying but I think it fits better here.....

I havn't posted here in PPRuNe for ages, but now I have a good reason......Last March I went on a "fun" flight with a friend. For those you who gon't know me, I have been flying since 1984, until a year ago I also had an instrutors certificate. Last March things went wrong, as you can tell by this artclrkr and picture I posted here:......http://dorrie-westy.de/

The pilot (very experinced) died, They rescued me but I am still suffering feom my injuries (I can't walk)......spending my days in a care home

Sh*t, WestWind. It's a very fine line sometimes between all's well and SAFU. I hope you're getting on ok.

Westwind1950

That is a sad sight and even sadder to hear you have been hurt. I trust you get better soon and best wishes for getting up on your pins and, hopefully, into the air again.

Hope you recover soon.

This link will take you to images from the scene. It's amazing that the passenger survived.

time for an update...

Thank you all for the replies!

Yep, I'm still alive but I now live in a carehome, practice walking with a therapist once in a while. My interest in flying is now zero (no wonder there). I used to be a dance teacher....I miss the dancing a lot more. I miss being able to do things, sponteneously. Oh well, things could be lots worse....

Westy

P.S. I haven't tested if any of those links still work.....nope, they aren't working. Let's try this one:

http://dorrie-westy.********.de/ that's really odd...the link doesn't get added correctly *snif*

Again, replace the asterisks with the word b l o g s p o t (without spaces) and the link works fine.

For some reason PPRuNe won't accept the 'b' word and substitutes asterisks instead.
