Owen .... am I complaining ? Read the post again then you see that I "noted" that I had a post deleted.
As I said I used the word ramblings ref. a post which contained quite a few words which were "personal" not a hanging offence I would have thought.

Our leader of the State Opposition, Daniel Andrews, wants the electorate to believe that despite (finally) admitting that a voice recorder belonging to an Age journo was destroyed by staffers from his office they had nothing to do with the 'destroyed' recording being leaked. None of the recordings of their opposition shadow ministers on the same 'tape' appear to have mysteriously survived being destroyed, either.

What world do the doyens of the left and the unions live in? It must be a parallel universe where denying the bleeding obvious makes a truth out of a deceit

Herald Sun article

The Age: Andrews Labor covered in the muck of its own dirty tricks.

The Age: ALP the guilty party

Notable is that The Age is a fervent supporter of Labor: for them to come out swinging on this one emphasises the seriousness of the situation.

John

Agree.

I did chuckle this morning about 9.00am when that Labor story
hit the Age web site thinking this is pretty strong for it.

A news story you probably won't see on ABC News24.

MAJOR NEWS OUT OF ISRAEL: It was an errant Hamas rocket that hit the UN school, ooooops
UNRWA has admitted that a Hamas misfired rocket hit a U.N.-run school in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, according to Channel 2?s Ehud Ya’ari, but an errant IDF artillery shell also may have hit the facility, where Gaza sources claim an estimated 17 children and United Nations personnel were killed and 200 others were wounded Thursday afternoon.

Another MP rorter with his hand in the public piggy bank bites the dust...again.
He was a very bi-partisan rorter; National, Independent, Liberal, Independent allied to Labor and lastly Palmer United Party (albiet for seven hours). This says something about his political integrity, which would appear to match his personal integrity. It will be interesting to see what the sentence is.

And in completely apolitical news, meet Australia's toughest koala.
Koala survives rough ride on car grille

Timberwolf for PM!

EDIT: Traffic, another interesting article. I thought the following quote made a point:
Perhaps life for my Aboriginal ancestors (the Bundjalung people of what is now northern NSW) had its good points prior to invasion, just as European life around 5,000 BC couldn't have been all bad ... though nobody seems to miss that particular lifestyle much or yearn to have it back.
Over the years I've worked with various people with Indigenous heritage, though none of them made a big fuss about it. Several of them didn't 'look' Indigenous (although on a rough count, two were 50/50, two more were 75/25 and one was 100% TI, although he looked vaguely Hispanic) and it was only after getting to know them that their heritage became apparent. While there are people out there milking the race card, IME there are many more people out there doing their thing without making much of a fuss. All power to them.

BULL SHYTE

ABSOLUTE FCKING BULLSHYTE.

I know enough about artillery and rockets (having fired a few) and the chances of TWO errant explosive devices from
TWO different types of weapons, both hitting the SAME facility / location at the SAME time is impossible odds.

Yeah, I know, but hell, this no one gets blamed / they all get blamed
is the biggest load of BS I have ever seen written. It's worse than bias.

Seriously, where did that report come from ?
Journo kindergarten school ???

Always remember that you know a shiteload more about military stuff than the journos do.
As for weighing into the Israeli/Hamas debate, I think CFI had the last word on that. This is the Oz politics thread, not the ME politics thread.
Not saying I disagree with you BTW...

Good point Worrals, thanks for the reminder.

Re the other comment, even a dumbo would know that statement is BS.

Last comment.

UN involved, enough said.

It was made a legitimate target anyway as Hamas has been hiding rockets
in the UNRWA Schools - at least two. If you are going to break the rules,
at least don't get caught

Worrals, that koala looks like he knows exactly who to go looking for when he gets out of rehab. That family better check the locks on their windows!

There's a thread here to discuss the Israel/Palestine situation.

Julie Bishop has been given quite a few accolades over her handling of the MH17 business (except of course, by Tanya Pillbuttsuck). I agree she's a class act and I would love to see her as Liberal leader, if only to give lie to the line Labor took in reaction to the widespread - and so richly deserved - disapproval of Julia Gillard's performance as PM.

However, if it comes to pass that the Ukrainians were responsible for the shooting down of MH17, (as some credible reports are suggesting), I'm sure that Labor and their propaganda machine, the ABC/Fairfax, will be faster than the proverbial speeding bullet in pillorying Julie Bishop and Tony Abbott for blaming the Russians for the crime.

Did you see the article on her in the Age / SMH type the other day ?
Along the lines of personal accolades, how she has boosted Australia's
standing in the world in a big way and of course as a potential leader.
She got acclaim from many senior people world wide for playing the
game so well (and of course winning).

Charlie Foxtrot India.... ref. deletion, fair enough.
( still don't think that it was a personal attack though).

I've just discovered that the couple who died in a car outside Ballarat last week weren't actually 'homeless' as first reported.
I apologise for the misleading information. However there still remain a, reported, 5,000 homeless in Victoria.
