Hmm, wasn't paying attention I guess. Grasping at this latest one. How about a tidbit?

It's a five barred gate in the countryside. Given that the Thames is topical in UK news right now, is it the Thames?

It seems to be overgrown, wet moist climate year round with little sun and dreary winters.

I doubt that it is Seattle what with the still water

I'd think that this was somewhere in the Midlands and that this is a canal/waterway

Sorry, had to sleep for a few hours Midlands it is and, yes, a canal. There is a really massive clue in an earlier post.

Considering that South Cerney is about 22 miles south of 52 N I'd say you were a bit out

Let's narrow it down a bit more.....

between 0 and 1 W

That should give everyone a nice box to work in.

Close enough Sabredog.

Actual location is on the Grantham canal at 52 54 21.67N 0 44 46.88W

If it hadn't been quite so misty then Belvoir Castle would have been visible in the distance.

Thank you,Siseman. Quite close to Langar airfield is it not?
The old 1/2 Mil is still useful at times! Excellent photograph.
