No sweat Aspinwing. Rather than a shipping association I now suspect it's a brokerage house or a shipping media company, and that there's a stylized version of the stained glass picture on their letterhead. In the fulness of time....

Now for svhar's challenge. There must be a spotter's site that catalogues all possible taxi paint designs.

Yellow and white taxis = UAE for starters. Vegetation fits too, as do balconies.

So, would that pic have been taken in Abu Dhabi?

No, sorry, it was taken between 80W and 120W.

Yes Dak, it is. It just looked interesting so I took the picture. What it is of, I have no idea.

I searched "statue xxxx", xxxx being the city, and I only came up with one result, from a different angle. It does not say what it is.

svhar, none of my search criteria - taxis or statues - have yielded answers and I have to retire.
I thought the taxi colour search would be the quickest avenue but the UAE is somewhat outside the 80-120W parameter. Still, the white and yellow standard seemed to be borne out by another taxi parked behind the pickup truck.
If not the Gulf, the pic does give off vibes of Prosperous Latin. But no sat TV dishes and some washing on the back balcony of one of the buildings. Intriguing. Were it not for the longitude I'd be looking all along the Brazilian coast.

I was hoping to find some information about this statue to give some clues but I can't. I also would have liked to know something about it myself. So to narrow it down, it is in Mexico.

svhar, we've had this situation before so perhaps your declaring OH yourself would be an option. The thread doesn't need to be so linear "no new challenges until so-and-so's confirmed". Someone will come back to solve it for sure and, if that doesn't happen you can give the answer yourself.
