@ AA - As would I. Either way, you remain wrong about what my argument is. Once you're done with the strawman the thread might be able to move on.

@ Lone - Simply calling an argument "wind" (or any other attempt at dismissal without discourse) is disengagement: it's a tacit acceptance that you don't actually have a counter-argument and have instead decided to play to the crowd like a performing monkey. It's a hollow, unintelligent, and thick-skulled response.

To call itself 'Fair and Balanced' is bordering on a violation of trade descriptions. Each to their own. Fox News is the only news channel I can't take seriously to be honest and I am right of centre politically.
Just curious, have you ever watched MSNBC?

I don't normally watch either FOX News or MSNBC (I thing TV news is pretty largely rubbish regardless), but occasionally find myself in a situation where one or the other is literally all there is. I certainly can understand why Fox upsets those on the left, but there is at least a token effort to show the other side of the argument.

OTOH, MSNBC is so far left that it thinks that giving a voice to the moderate left counts as a 'counterpoint' to their far-left views

I think we have, or should say had the same crew hotel in YVR. Shares its name with a certain airline we both know. I used to get Fox there, the channel wasnt the one advertised on the guide however.

In other news, the return to how the US drone strike program began, back in Clinton's era, seems to have taken down a couple of the 's involved in that mall attack in Kenya.

I will leave it to anyone's imagination how soon a few of the Obama obsessed in select parts of American media will spin that is "he's only doing it to protect his true homeland, Kenya ..." and more such wind.

Me, I say good riddance to bad rubbish!

Re the "some 20 U.S. Navy SEALs launched an assault on the town of Barawe along the Indian Ocean shore"

The one where they had to withdraw, it could have been a planned little raid
that if went ff OK, all well and good but if it didn't like happened, the US
would have picked up a lot of intel etc, electronic and visual, thereby
creating more targets !

Time Out :-)

Fred was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young 'pullets,' and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs.

He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced.

This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters.

Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing.

Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells.

Fred's favourite rooster, Barack, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed Barack's bell hadn't rung at all!

When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover

To Fred's amazement, Barack had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring.

He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.

Fred was so proud of old Barack, he entered him in the Washington Farming Show and he became an overnight sensation among the judges.

The result was the judges not only awarded Barack the "No Bell Piece Prize," but they also awarded him the "Pulletsurprise" as well.

El Grifo,

That may be a near singularly profound post. Did you write that? If so, a fine complement to your extraordinary photography portfolio.

The pretense that what is being called wind is an actual argument is the problem here, PTT. Time bandits need not be indulged.
Simply calling any statement "wind" does not address it at all, whether you think it's an argument or not. Cowardly failure to address is the issue.

Please read my whole post.

Your resort to insult, which came as scheduled, is the mark of a troll.

It's no insult. You're not addressing the post, simply dismissing it. If you don't want to address the post then ignore it; acknowledging it and dismissing it is cowardly.

Name calling, again, noted.
I am not restricted to the choices you offer there.
Deal with it.

I don't recall, exactly, but the updated version must include some fresh lettuce and fruit.

I didn't call you a name, I described the act. I'm not into name-calling most of the time (although I'm not completely above it, of course!).
Restricted or not, you chose the option you chose, and it was a cowardly dismissal and withdrawal rather than honest engagement. If anyone has anything to deal with here it is you.
