SASless:

No, SWMBO did not threaten to unleash a can of whoop ass on me if I didn't vote for Romney: you're wrong.

What she did threaten was to withhold something. Something very vital to my psychological and physical well being.

Thus, my Romney vote.

Lima: it's all about race. That's just the way it is.

One other item of interest I've found during this election campaign. Living in Connecticrap and working in NYC - both liberal bastions - I've noted a lot of Romney/Ryan bumper stickers on cars and lawn signs. I think I've seen two cars, during my daily round-trip commute, with Obama/Biden bumper stickers. Interesting.

She has the brains in the family then...

Dunno about the looks and the brains but she does have several items of interest which, if withheld, would cause me unreasonable amounts of mental duress, pain, suffering and anguish.

Sounds good, don't it?!!!!!!

Dushan:

Well, I don't know if it was a matter of time but came about after careful consideration. There are still a couple of aspects of the Romney/Ryan ticket which bother me but those aside I feel they would be better at changing this country around than my preferred candidate - Gary Johnson. I think Johnson is more than capable of the same but the likelihood of his being elected is slim to none. That's unfortunate and has a lot to do with the media's bias but it is also reality.

Had my boss in town for the last couple of days. Decided to go to dinner up at the Proud Bird near LAX last evening. On the way there I remembered that Barry was in town to do the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Fortunately, only those around Burbank got screwed by the motorcade since they choppered Barry up to Burbank Airport from LAX and then drove over to the studio. The comments on the local news (readers on the internext version) sang out in unison; "Thanks for screwing up the traffic asshole."

Where's the love?

My view of the campaign this week, paying no attention to the actual viewpoints/plans/accomplishments of the two, but just to the candidates as politicians:

I think Obama has screwed himself. Fell into the same trap as George Bush I in 1992. Didn't inform himself about the opposition candidate except to insult and denigrate him and his supporters. Assumed he was so popular that he would be a shoo-in for re-election. Believed his own hype at the conventions.

So when things tightened up, then the Libya thing happened, he had no idea about how to launch a credible comeback. Hasn't managed a coherent response to Romney's critiques. Fell back to personal insults and the old Democratic vote rigging plans.

I think he has had poor political advice (not that there's evidence he listens to his advisors). Axelrod is no Rahm, nor is he a Karl Rove. And the Clinton thing has been half-hearted, for obvious reasons.

Never realised what a thoroughly nasty and vicious little creature Obama was until the Presidential dinner roasting and his behaviour at the last debate.
A friend, who should know, tells that Obama has dispensed with the usual daily security briefings. That's why he didn't know what was going on in Benghazi.

What's your point hellsbrink ? My link to a Republican voting scam was in retort to SASless's claim that the Republicans didn't resort to such tactics. It's clearly prevalent on both sides

You'll probably find the Obama/Biden sticker on one of these:
