"Smokestack Lightning" by Howlin'Wolf. Bought it off my friend who's father had a large collection of Blues records, a lot of them 78s, and he was selling them off for money to buy cigarettes (He eventually died of a drug overdose). My first store bought record was The Animals version of "House of the Rising Sun".

The first was Black Sabbath's "Master of Reality".

The following weekend I bought Led Zeppelin II.

First single I bought was Status Quo's "Pictures of Matchstick Men".

Still a Blues fan, though I'm rather fond of anything with a well played guitar. Also, strangely enough, I quite like the raw enthusiasm of AC/DC. Perhaps its the electrical engineering connection?
