That £500m figure is the insured level of the deficit. I believe the actual deficit is quite considerably lower, but still significant.

The pensions regulator has the powers to investigate whether the sale of the business was appropriate in the circumstances and should do so.

So can someone with more understanding of Labour's internal politics explain which of these is currently the case?

(1) Labour is imploding because of racism.

(2) Corbyn is taking advantage of media hype over racism to purge some (more) non-Corbynites.

The Guardian seems to have a reasonable synopsis of the BHS pension funds recent financial position if anyone is interested.

Our Labour supporting contributors seem to have gone all quiet. How they howled when anyone dared to mention the "Fascist Left".

I'm sure that many of us older supporters fought against Militant back in the eighties. The difference was that they never gained the leadership. The current leadership, whatever mealy mouthed half denials they make, are both anti Semitic and pro Islamic. They have had my support, at least until Corbyn is deposed.

Livingstone wrong on history, makes it up to cause maximum offence....

The sole reason Ken Livingstone brought up the Fuhrer in his interview was to be as vicious and loathsome as he possibly could to any Jews listening, rather than genuinely intending to make some valid historical point about the migration policies of the putative Third Reich in the 1930s. He must know perfectly well that the very insertion of the word “Hitler” in the context of a debate over anti-Semitism would create precisely the effect that it has. It was therefore a totally cold-blooded attempt to offend the maximum amount of Jews to the maximum extent, and was said to a Jewish interviewer Vanessa Feltz.

What a shower. It's the best entertainment on TV, I'm laughing so much my jaw is aching. I can't see him, as he is one of two inhabitants of my ignore list, but has K&C risen to the defence of his favourite politicians, or is he keeping his head down in embarrassment?

If your jaw is aching, I would recommend a visit to your GP and Dentist.

Corbyns spokesman, Seamus Milne, praises a bunch of murderous, terrorist thugs...

Seumas Milne Praises Hamas | Guido Fawkes

A Labour spokesman said they could not comment as it is a "staffing matter". Well, what could they say?

(Milne is the son of an ex BBC director general,)

It does amuse me inasmuch as these are the same people that are pointing the finger at others and calling them racist. Maybe they are the wrong sort of racist

It will be interesting to hear what the Livingstone creature has to say on his regular LBC radio show Safurday morning 10.00. He is only contributing as a caller at present due to Electoral rules but I don't expect a full on apology.

Ah yes, Pinochet. Would that be the same Pinochet that the Labour Home Secretary, Jack Straw, refused to extradite when the dictator produced a dodgy sick note, only to spring out of his wheelchair when he eventually returned to Chile?

Sees to be a problem with the voting for London's mayor.
Polling stations turning away would be voters as they don't have the correct list of names.

Conservative Party Election Fraud

Somewhat more significant than the masses of information churned out over the Labour Party in fighting. The mainstream media has largely ignored one of the biggest election scandals Britain has ever seen

Dozens of Tory MPs face accusations that they illegally overspent in the 2015 general election campaign by failing to declare costs associated with the Conservative campaign “battle buses”. If the allegations are true, the MPs and their agents could face a year in jail and/or an unlimited fine, as well as a three-year ban on holding elective office.

There are as far as we know, at least 26 MPs implicated. This could trigger by-elections across the country which would mean the Conservatives losing their majority in parliament.

But, beyond Channel 4, which has exposed the revelations, the broadcast media has been largely silent on the scandal.

Andrew Neil finally broke the BBC silence by giving Grant Shapps (I think thats his name this week) a bit of questioning. His answers were not particularly impressive...

They do however have form for cheating

Tories systematically cheat, says their own campaign manager.
