The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in Canada. In 1576 Martin Frobrisher and his English sailors gethered on a small island in what would later be the Canadian Arctic. They offered prayers and gave thanks for a hectic but safe voyage across the Atlantic. This was followed by a meal of salt beef, buscuits and peas. The very first Thanksgiving!

Talking Their greatest contribution!

Also, let's not forget that it was a Canadian who was the first person in the world to give a pilot "duff-gen" (now known by the ICAO-sanctioned and widely recognised phrase "Canadian Gouge").

December 14th 1903: Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. Quebecois Jean-Claude "Tabernac" Soixante-Neuf stepped forward as Wilbur Wright boarded "Wright Flyer I" and whispered into his ear "...zis thing, I zink ze correct techneek ees to pull back veree 'ard after leeft-off, you agree non??"

Unfortunately for Wilbur, he took Jean-Claude's advice and performed the world's first aircraft stall.

"BLAME CANADA!!"

....always surprised that Jack Bauer on 24 stuck with shooting people in the knees rather than threaten the baddies with continuous exposure to Celine.

A Canoe will tip.
