Sunny and cold, lost a tile off the garage it cracked along a fault line i blame the cold.
Goudie, my daughters wedding day still remains one of the best days of my life, not because i got rid of one but just because it was such a great day.As far as the cost, well i was told the best thing i could do to avoid being upset was to keep my nose out and leave it to the women. I could try and work out the cost afterwards if i wanted to but it would be best if i just minded my own business.
Seemed to work..

Bloody hell.

Unfortunately I have just heard I'm being co-opted onto a 'secret' committee that is looking at tinning jobs in one area where I used to work. That's not the way it's been put to me though. "We wish to identify areas where there are possible duplication issues."

So, it's off to some room for two weeks from Monday to see what damage limitation I can come up with.

The ex tractor fan has dumped the fog onto the Wharf.

Heard the news about the new Czech art-work controversy in Brussels and tort: "oooo, right up FOT's ally. EU is being made to look foolish, Britain is absent and the artist is a lying scumbag".
And yet no mention?

I like really like the guy's sense of humour, Entropa accurately and succintly points up what each country rather doesn't want to aknowledge about itself.
Sweden as flat-pack, France with a strike banner, Holland under the sea with only a few minarets sticking our of the water, Italy masturbating with footballs, Rumania as a Turkish toilet and Polish monks raising the Rainbow Flag.
Made my day this.

Juud, I'm contemplating starting a thread on it but I fear it will deteriorate in to international stereotyping and I might get in to trouble... I'm with you, I think it's hilarious!

Hmm, fog sort of gone-ish. Thinking about tractor fans, I'd bet Frank's got one or two Fergies under tarps in a barn.

Can't make much out on those links Juud, got any more?

I wonder if some of angels about to be ex-colleagues, may wish to buy "angels dolls with long hat pins to stick in " once the result of those two week long deliberations in room 101 become public?

From hero to zero on one day shortly, by the sound of it!

If you're going to disappear you need to do it properly.

A US businessman suspected of faking his own death in a plane crash has been found by the police in Florida alive and well.
When the authorities received a distress call from the pilot as he flew over Alabama, a rescue operation was launched.
Two military planes were scrambled and they found Mr Schrenker's plane flying on autopilot, with its door open and no sign of the pilot.

Certainly got a brief mention on the news summary on BBC R3, Juud - I laughed, then forgot, so thanks for the reminder and links!

On a happy note - a friend (freelance editor) had been out of work for months, having had to take time out to care for a very sick child. Have just (long story short) managed to put her in touch with a fellow chorister who needs immediate editing help - she is ecstatic.

A feelgood moment!

international stereotyping
What? HERE?

Well yes, the English will probably moan about being left out, but that is normal.

I blame the Norwegians

Ibbie - I like to think I'll be going in as the equivalent of one of those chaps in WW2 who put duff fuses into German ordnance he was being forced to make.....

Had cause to be in Norwich this week, doing a spot of IT auditing. Found myself in the Norwich Millenium Forum Library, where I spotted the "USAAC 2nd Air Division Memorial Library. Spent 5 minutes auditing and two and a half hours perusing their books/models/piccies/visuals. Absolutely stunning!

Those of you who have had a look at the "Gaining an RAF pilots brevet in WWII" on the Mil thread will be familiar with CliffNemo and his escapades in Oklahoma. The book "The RAF in Oklahoma" was in pride of place there! Also a painting/piccie of an F-111 blasting over the WWII memorial and the older planes represented in a montage, linking the remembrance. Signed by a few people, including Robin Olds - spooky, as his obit appeared a few months ago. All the staff in the library were immensely proud of the connection with the US forces and it is a thriving, living, library - quite humbling.

Finished early elsewhere and thought I'd have a look at Horsham St Faith (Norwich International Airport!!). Saw a Vulcan in the distance and headed that way, guided by the "Museum" signs. Meteor and Hunters were visible as well, so it was going to be a great way to spend a few hours - if the bl00dy place had been open!!!!

Foggy as hell coming back today. Couldn't see the Thames coming over the QEII bridge.

This artistic faux pas was mentioned briefly ont news here Mamasan, but the news editors here know full well that any mention of the EU in item causes most of us in Blighty to grope for the remote.
