Political compass

Dunno if this has been posted before, probably has but here goes...

http://www.politicalcompass.org/

I got..

Economic Left/Right: -2.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 3.49

Which on the graph puts me top left quadrant,3 up,2 from centre.

I honestly expected to be right of centre which shows I think just how vague the left/right wing descriptives really are,and my own and probably many other's actual understanding of how their views translate.

Which puts me near Ghandi. Which is worrying, because I look awful in a loin cloth!

Looks about the same as Gandhi - suits me, but I think he'd be a bit alarmed!

You're a fence-sitter!

So far,has anybody been especially surprised by their results or were they as you expected?

I really must get out more. I was almost dead center of the charts.

(Or maybe I'm just wishy washy)

L/R: 6.63

-0.67 (slightly lib)

But I have a bone to pick: many questions were too general. "All people have their rights, but it is better for all of us that different sorts of people should keep to their own kind." What's meant by "their own kind" ?? Those of similar race, those with similar beliefs, those with uncivilized behavior ...???

Try the World's smallest political quiz for a change.

I got "pretty lib", and "slightly left" on that one. Can't understand as I was a Founder Member of the "Maggie Statue on Every Village Green" campaign

Surprisingly close to the Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela and Gandhi.
I guess that's what you get if you give simple answers to complex questions!

Load of rubbish. I'm not like that at all! I'm an Authoritarian on the first test and a Liberal on the second. And they put me left of the centre. Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaa! Who writes these things?

Ditto. How many times have we been called neo-cons?

Too true West, too true.

Of course I haven't seen any of the usual suspects admitting to taking the test.

Except Grandpa, but then his results were no surprise.

No insult intended Grandpa, you are who you are.
