Angel Awww. Our first Aussie Princess!

No, no...I'm not talking about "Aussie" Kim Clijsters! I'm talking about "Our" Mary Donaldson!

I'm suprised there's been no witty remarks about an Australian Princess! Surely, someone on JB has a pun or two? Maybe it just means that Betty Windsor comes off of the back of our coins?

I recall watching a program on the box, fairly recently, with Tony Robinson as the presenter. Apparently evidence has recently been found that proves that an English king was illegitimate (can't remember which, an early Edward I think, II or III) and his brother should have been king instead.

The program followed his line of descent and dug up the current 'head of family'. Who turned out to be a farmer somewhere in the Australian outback.

So not only have you got your own princess you've got our king as well.

"According to the indigenous Australians, the Aborigines, all living things on Earth were created in the Dreamtime. Allow me to wish you both a Dreamtime for you to create a life together."
(...quote from speech by Prime Minister of Denmark, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, State dinner at Danish Parliament, Christiansborg Palace).

Best wishes to Ms Mary Donaldson and Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark.

Maxine Carr won't be coming here - wouldn't last too long! And it would be IMPOSSIBLE to conceal her even attempting to come here (or any government trying to relocate her), That I can guarantee.

An Ozzy Princess? We'll never hear the end of it.

Maybe they will get so excited they may abandon their republican tendencies!!!

Red face

I think I'll wait about eight months before writing my book detailing the sordid facts about how she left me and my dog for a bloke called Fred.

Huh Fredrick?, one remembers when those chaps had proper names like Eric Blood Axe, or Ivor The Skull Crusher, and they specialised in cutting the blood eagle on folks, not wedding cake, bloody wimps, like all young men now.

How true Mr. Draper. I've just seen him blubbering like a baby...and she hadn't even walked into the Chapel!! What's the world coming to?
Might just have to run down the aisle shouting "I object!". Can't have a good Aussie sheila marrying some Euro Nancy!

I think the firstest Oz princess was that 17yo chick who marreyed some Sultan's kid in Malaysia back in the earley 80s. Couldnt hack it and snuck back to Oz with the kids. Then her old man went and kidnapped the kids and went back to Malaysia on a boat or somethin.

And "princess Kylie"?

Who remembers when she looked as ugley as a bloodey hatfull of drug addicts after she broke up with with Mr J. Donovan?

Wink Shame on you, Mr. Draper!

He's got a masters degree in government management, did 18 months in the Danish equivalent of SBS and would have the first 10 speeding tickets (none of them for speeds below 120 mph) if not for the fact that he can't be fined (royalty has its perks )

So even though he doesn't wield an axe - I wouldn't go up against the man in anything more serious than Jeopardy

Btw, Mr. E. Cruise has had the pleasure of flying H.R.H. on a couple of occations. Exept when he's tired after a good party at dutch airbases, he's a very likeable chap and will make a great king some day.

For those who may wonder how he's like after assorted parties etc. - tired sums it up quite nicely

Brgds,
Empty

That's a great turn of phrase! I'll have to remember that one - makes a change from a sack full of spanners.
