Question Making the earth move...

Now I have made a few tremmors in my time, but I was looking over the river today and was wondering if we could actually move the world.

Think about it like this, if we could all somehow mass move around the planet to speed up its rotations we could end up being like a spinning top and we would have the ultimate holiday, travelling the universe.

Bings up several questions, like
1. Would we all live longer since we age quicker? (if earth spins twice as fast we would age 2years in an "actual" year)
2. Would we be flung off the surface of the earth? (we could mass produce velcro in preaparation before the event)
3. What would the weather do?

hmmm.

The Earth
weighs in at 5.972 sextillion (5,972,000,000,000,000,000,000) metric tons, thats about One trillion metric tons for each human being to move, don't think your idea will work somehow, then we have the laws of Mr Newton.

Oh - it's always such a shame when our heroes and role-models admit their fallibility.

Lower that pedestal a few inches..........

Why? The earth moves at the minute, why do we want to make ti move faster or slower etc? Goes back to the old saying, 'If it isn't broken, give it to me and I'll fix it!''

Might take a few years thought to grow enough Weatbix for everyone on the planet

I think it was Spine Millington, the well known spelling error that said:

Love doesn't make the world go around, but it does make it jump up and down a bit...
