Communication issues (ATC) around and with Brindisi.....

Apologies if not the correct forum to post this, mods feel free to move (just trying to appeal to a wide audience to get comments!).

Has anyone recently (when flying in and around the Brindisi Airspace) noticed issues with missed ATC RT calls from Brindisi ACC? recently both myself and colleagues have notice in this geographical area, that transmissions from ATC are clipped or completely silent, and the only way I've managed to mitigate this is call them up when perception tells me something about gaps in RT feels at odds with the normal modus operandi, and this seems to be proving correct. Upon establishing comms in this manner, it usually results in something along the lines of an semi-irate ATC controller claiming he/she has been trying to call us for 10 odd times etc.! these calls are definitely not being missed through inattention on our part as a crew, but there is some kind of issue in that location it seems to me, and yesterday I did even manage to get one controller to allude to the fact there was some kind of issue although he seemed reticent to discuss further, and controller in that sector in return leg was suggesting that engineers are available and have no issues on ATC's side at all. Of course, it does beg the question as to why 'engineers' would be around and he has this information to hand before I'd asked the question of course!.

I only query, as to me it seems that some poor sod at some point very soon is going to end up with an unscheduled bout of formation flying with some fast jets......

My previous post was deleted. I'll ask it again though. Are you flying an Airbus? Had the same issue with a particular A321 numerous times in Turkish airspace. Could hear other aircraft but not the ground station. There is a known issue with certain radios.

Hi Jim,

Yes, it is indeed an Airbus (A321) - don't suppose you have any link or otherwise to said issue being highlighted by Airbus anywhere at all?

Thanks,

F/o
