Australian Pilots Working in Italy

Bonjourno! Anyone able to tell me whether Australian ATPL holders (ICAO) can get a permit from the local authority to work in Italy.

THanks in advance

Alitalia

Hi, I'm from Australia too.

Just interested to know what the minimum experience requirements are for direct entry pilots in Alitalia. Can anyone advise?

How does one go about applying?

Thanks,

520.

Right...

I see. So, little prospect, in other words. Thanks for the info nevertheless.

Nothing wrong with flying in Oz, just seeing what opportunities may have been available abroad.

....Canadian pilots?

Well, here's what I can offer:

Canadian Commercial (soon to be ATPL);
Canadian Military trained;
Currently flying E3As in germany, hopefully 707 soon;
I have an Italian citizenship, codice fiscale, etc;
38 years old and due to retire in 2010.

I would like to return to Italy (si, lo so - ma perche??? Il fatto e, non ho piu voglia di mettere via la neve durante l'inverno!) and fly throughout Europe. i prefer shorthaul, if only because I still love flying. My heritage is Friulano, but after reading the thread on Air Dolomiti, perhaps that is no longer an option.

Suggestions, contacts? I would like to at least get a JAR ATPL Frozen before leaving Germany....and have 2 years to do that....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Grazie, e mandi!
