Le nostre condizioni di lavoro.....(Our working conditions)

(English Version at bottom)

Ciao a tutti,

Hello everybody,
let's go back for a moment on the "P" of PPruNe ... The on of "Professional" and therefore I address myself exclusively to all the Professionals present on the forum!

In recent years, the working conditions in the various realities in Europe have greatly changed. The Colleagues present on the forum has also greatly changed, seeing the increasingly massive presence of those employed in "Low Cost" companies where working conditions (obviously not always) are often "critical".

In this regard, the University of Ghent already 6 years ago had started a series of studies and collected a lot of information. The notable changes that have taken place in recent years make it necessary to re-collect the data themselves. For this reason, a Survey for Pilots, Flight Attendants and Ground Handling has been proposed again. The collection of this data (which takes place in a DEIDENTIFIDCATED manner) is essential in order to proceed with a review of the current regulations to protect our social conditions.

On this Forum we always complain: now we have the possibility to use our complaints to be able to change something!

I invite you to participate in the survay and help to spread it as much as possible through all the channels you know as well as in the international sessions where you are present. To date, about 6.000 Pilots have responded ..... but we all now have the opportunity to testify our conditions:

STUDY ON EMPLOYMENT IN THE AVIATION INDUSTRY 2021. - Home (weebly.com)

Six years ago, the UGhent research group conducted a study on ‘Atypical forms of employment in the aviation sector’ among pilots. During the lockdown, they carried out a study about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the employment landscape in EU aviation among both pilots and cabin crew. Today, they broaden the scope to pilots, cabin crew and also ground handlers to gain better insight in the employment situation, well-being, relationships with management and the safety climate in the heavily affected aviation sector.

The aim is to present a clear overview of the employment landscape in aviation. In other words: How do airlines and ground handling companies work today? In which ways has the work situation changed in the sector because of the pandemic? How has the crisis affected those working in aviation, both as part of the workforce and as a person?

The study goes beyond mere academic objectives. By helping us answer the above questions, we will all gain new and interesting insights in the aviation industry. Moreover, through this study, you help shape the future of aviation as we will send our research report to policy makers and stakeholders in order to inform them about the current situation in aviation. This way, we can build a better tomorrow together.

Fatto!
