Employment Opportunities in Italty

Hello dear pilots, I write from Argentina, I would like to ask if anyone can guide me about the current employment situation for commercial pilot in Italy.
I have Argentine and Italian citizenship my great grandfather was from northern Italy. I have ICAO CPL MEL IR with 550 TT and I intend to go and live in Italy with my family.
I have work experience in general aviation here in Argentina and also have multiengine and IFR time.(no turbine time, only light piston twins)

I know the times in italy are not the better now, but here is the same.
Any tip or ideas to be employed would be very useful for me
(I know that I need to convert my license to easa and speak italian)

Thanks in advanced!

Best Regards

Piperul... Two airlines closed just this week... Some of the remaining are in trouble or are going be so... The national job market is literally collapsing... It's the right time to leave Italy but not to relocate here, believe in us...

No, don't worry: come... You may become the "Osvaldo" of the air. You will get the italian passport because you can and they have to give it to you... If you don't get a job behave like "Osvaldo": just punch-up someone in his face and that's it!

Pretty easy , isn't it ?

just come to visit your parents as a tourist..
you might enjoy Italy, our food our history etc etc....

But please do not come to look for a job, especially a pilot job.....as there are no chance for italian pilot (even with a lot of hours logged the only way is to run away...) and now governement is killing everybody with too many taxes...

You will be disappointed to see how Italy in aviation industry looks like a third world country....

As for a joke, yes my collegue is right....if you are good enough in football you might have a chance in doing something....but take that as it is...a joke...

Just think about that, european (Italians on the top)are willing to relocate anywhere around the world...

As you see we are telling you almost the same things....

Thank to all (including hotelpresident with his visible frustration and resentment)

This answers were very clarifying about my estimates in the present Italian aviation situation.
I hope that this crisis pass, and the government people build the country that every person deserves.(I hope the same for my country too)
Thank!

Buoni Voli !!!

Redbull, I guess that didn't mean to be useful, just a reminder of the sense of humour you need in his line of work. BTW I am an expat and would love to live nearby mom and dad work for AZ and have long hair and big black shades ( amici AZ perdonatemi !).
Dondino is spot on, unless you are a professional footballer that can get an Italian passport no sense coming here, funnily enough I have friends that just moved\escaped Italy to Argentina.

@bufe
Mi puoi aggiungere agli expat.
E sono pure fortunato ad esserlo, per ora temporaneamente, spero prima a poi permanentemente.
