Thanks JBM, I don't have access to PM's yet as I've not posted enough. Hopefully can access shortly. This year's assessment day might be slightly different in comparison to my experience however.

Any word from anyone yet?

Thanks a million for the heads up!

I’m inclined to think it’ll be much the same as last week - both positive & negative?

Just after getting a rejection email. Not disappointed as its only my first time applying for it. Best of luck everyone

Hi all,

I've just received the Thanks, but no thanks" email. :ouch:

Best of luck to all those still in the mix :ok:

Just received a rejection too. Only submitted as a Hail Mary anyway! Best of luck to all applicants still in :)

Got mine there as well roll on next year!

I got through to the assessment day. For what it's worth to those who think it matters, I have around 170 hours of flight experience, passed all UK ATPL's and I am 30+

Good luck to all those on the day.

Wondering what the interview questions are like? Are they just of a classic interview nature or do they hone in on aviation and piloting specific?

1Mat1 21st May 2024 12:10

For those who got the invitation emails may i ask, is this your first time applying and do you have any previous flying experience that may have helped? Thanks and best of luck in the assessment centre.

Did you just get the email or was it last week?

Wow, nice. Your only worry now is the "are you too experienced for them" side of the coin :)

Second time applying, first time to assessment centre. I have my PPL.

First time applying, a few hours experience in a small aircraft with cadets.

Unfortunately the earliest flight in the morning makes me arrive at 7:30 am at the airport which I guess is a bit late to be at the meeting point at 8:00. Do you have some tips to find a cheap hotel near the airport for me to arrive the previous night.

also can someone explains to me what we are going to attend during the day. Like what type of exercise or interviews we are going to do. Thank you a lot

last year, about 4 days after invites went out , I was sent the hotel preferential rates for those that need to stay the night before. ( I had same issue of flight arriving at 7am on the day) the discount was reasonable and saved about £50 on booking direct. Just book on-site in the cheapest room possible.

last year it was intro by Aer lingus.
Split into groups if 5 or 6 and complete the group task
one to one personal interview that lasted 5 mins.
break for a bit then the first ones being let go are told there and then they aren’t progressing and can go home. Bit tough if return flight home is booked for 7pm! Long wait indeed.
The afternoon is a panel interview.

this year could well be different format though. Who knows.

Ive only done 15 hours and got invited. So my guess is having some might be helpful but not definitive.

I have about 1 hour and got through, so its not just tied to flight experience. Good luck to everyone that has got this far, and will see some of you on the day!

I recieved an invite to Dublin, actually the first time i've applied and I have zero flying hours
