I have a question. Will there be another time this year when the doors to apply will open? Unfortunately, I will not be able to apply as I have not yet received my high school diploma and the certificate proving that I speak English fluently.

Online assessment

Hello guys! I just applied today, any insight about the online interview test? how does it look and what platform did you use to prepare? I heard pilot assessment is good! Plus, is there any technical assessment in the online test or in Dublin? Fingers crossed!!!

Eligibiity

Hey all, on the application - it asks if you are eligible to permanently live and work in EU/Ireland.

I am a UK Citizen with a british passport - I can live in ireland, but not the EU.. does this exclude me from applying?

Thanks.

The online aptitude tests are verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning and some personality assessment. They're pretty easy in all honesty!

I think you should count on a once a year application period. It would surprise me if they'd open up later this year again.

Good luck!

Hey guys, has anyone received a call or email for the results of the AON assessments, please ?

chris09 17th Apr 2024 16:50

Nothing yet, I finished mine last Saturday. Think it may be a little while before we hear anything back.

Last year the Cut-E assessments were sent out around the first of August, unsuccessful applicants were sent a rejection email around the 30th of August, whilst positive emails were sent out a few days later.

Hi there!

I'd like to ask whom did the group and personal interviews in the past years, what and how are they doing it. How can we prepare ourselves to face this next stages.

Thanks a lot guys!

We were all told at Dublin last year on the day of our assessments that we absolutely should not discuss what goes on to make it a level playing field for all who attend. Everyone is in competition with each other at the end of the day, and no one knows if this year will even be the same format as last year yet.
We waited about one month after all the aptitude tests were submitted, to hear if we were successful to be invited to Dublin. We were told they monitor these forums very closely to see what is being written.
each assessment day about 30 people attend, you book your date you want when you get your email saying you’ve been invited. For those needing overnight stay the night before, wait to book the hotel as they offered a preferential room rate a few days later. Day starts at 8am sharp.
I absolutely will not go in any detail on what questions were asked at the interview last year apart from we had a good introduction from Aer Lingus, face to face personal interview, and a group orientated task. Expect to be there from 8am to late afternoon if last year is anything to go by. I booked flights home for 6pm same day and was fine with that timing. They asked for copies of all certificates of qualifications to be bought inperson along with passport style photos that you hand in to the team on the day.
Spend your time understanding what makes a good interview.
all I can say is good luck to everyone getting that email.

For those of us who got the "you are shortlisted email" a few weeks ago and nothing else since:
It seems that some people have been asked to go to psych interviews which started the week we received that email, they appear to have been done over a two week period and are now finished. So it seems they had already chosen their cadets at the stage we got that shortlisted email.
When talk of offers going out started and we got our hopes up, my understanding (now) is that those offers were actually going to people who are a couple stages ahead of us that we had no idea about.
My best and most optimistic guess is that they were/are hoping to secure some additional places and that is why they have shortlisted some people so they have a pool to choose from if those places get approved by board.

Hi Chippo,

Did the shortlist ever progress into anything for this years intake?
