Reminds of BA and Aer Lingus. 100,000 applications for 10 spaces 💪🏼

Thanks for posting, I also meant to share it here. Good luck to all those applying.

Don't let the numbers put you off - got to be in it to win it.

I am tempted to apply to this. Just at the end of my PPL and getting ready to start ATPLs in the new year. The big blocker for this is an 18 months full time course and therefore 18 months out of work. Living expenses for those it months would be around 30k if renting a room nearby.

Doesn't the advert say the ATPL theory is home study then the flight training has accom provided?

You're right, it does. My sleepy eyes did me wrong!

Is it normal for an MPL to not include any (real) multi engine flying?

Even if you are successful in your MPL application, make sure you complete the PPL and get it issued from the CAA.

I'm not expecting to get in and personally I have my plan in action for modular training anyway but, with that said, I completed the initial application and instantly got invited to online assessments. Completed them and instantly got invited to a digital interview.

Seems obvious to me that its automated and they allow you to do the assessments and digital interview regardless of whether you meet the applicant criteria and regardless of whether you actually pass your online assessments.

Can anyone confirm?

Uniform,

In answer to your question, every MPL course is different. The Easyjet MPL course at CAE did include 5 hours of multi engine familiarisation, so was about 80 hours of real flying; 40 hours core 1 (ppl equivalent) core 2, 35 hours of SEP IR training conducted in what the military would recognise as multi crew lead in training. I noticed the TUI course is only 65 hours of corephase training so not sure what that will comprise of exactly. Actually a steep learning curve so the candidates need to be good. Unfortunately when Easyjet started the push for numbers you could see the drop in standard. But as TUI will hopefully be selecting the best and not those that can pay 100k, I would say the end product should be good in TUIs case.

I would imagine there is filtering on assesments at least. So good job so far!

It would seem dumb for a company having such a large volume of applicants, to not use filtering. I wouldn't see them going through 40k+ interviews.

Well there is another thread up on PPRUNE. And it does seem that you have to pass the online assessments, before progressing onto the digital interview stage. Someone tested this out with a dummy application, and answering 'random' answers on the test, only to receive a rejection instantly.

I applied on 28th Dec - I hope they take the CV into account along with the test results and digital interview. It's been several years since I did those kinds of assessments!

You're not alone, I'm spending today (last day off work) trying to get up to speed again. Some knowledge, although basic, is just lost in time.

Online Interviews

Hello all,
I've submitted my CV, done the three assessments and done the online interview ( 4 Questions) which you can re-record on.

I asked about when the next step is, if successful and they said youre likely to hear back at the end of February and the next assessment will be in May time.

Lawrence2725 21st Jan 2023 15:12

It appears to be closed for applications for the time being, for "6 weeks" according to the website, not sure when that occurred though.

After you have done the assessments and digital interview do you need to do anything else?
Some of the boxes such as 'About the job' on the page cant be completed so its not like you can submit a final application or anything?
Is that the same for everyone else?
Thanks in advance

Hi, yes that is the same for everyone else. Just await an email response or if your unsure message them. They have been quite useful for me.

Hats off to you all, I’ve just done the logical reasoning test and my conclusion is - I don’t think logically😂

Anyone who walks into those assessments and “can just do them”, I admire you all😂
