Hello everyone,
Is there an age limit for first time pilot.
I am 35 years old and i want to start a cpl course. I want to what the job prospects in aviation in Europe?

(prior to covid 19, assuming the job market is stable)

Age isn't an issue to an extent, personal circumstances are more significant.

If you are single, free of commitements and can afford to spend 60k on training and then afford to live on 1000 pounds a month, a pilot career is possible. Assuming a reasonable post covid recovery.

Well I’m 48 now and literally finished my APS MCC just before the first lockdown. I have to come to terms with my future employment prospects being zero. If I was 35 I would definitely have another go, but might be worth seeing how the next couple of years play out before parting with your cash.

1000 pounds is the actual salary for starting pilots?

does it improve after a period of time?

Many many airlines pay lowtime cadet pilots incredibly poorly initially. Yes, generally the pay will increase quickly, but then job security becomes the issue. It all depends where you have the right to work and therefore which airlines would be available to you (as and when recruitment eventually restart).

Sadly, the conditions for all pilots have been detrimentally affected by Covid, huge numbers of unemployed pilots and new cadets all after a very limited number of jobs.

How the situation in Europe?
assuming pre covid conditions

First do you have an EU passport? If not you have about zero chance to get a job within the EU.

If you can work, then I would guess in 2-3 years there will be increased job opportunities.
