English level for Ryanair interview
Hello to everyone! i got the license and I’m ready to start working in some airline! the problem is my English level..i mean, I have tea level 4 but you know for the interview is different! last month I went in Dublin for 2 weeks to improve my English and my level in the classroom was intermediate! The question is...in your opinion, is too risky to try a Ryanair interview only with intermediate level? Maybe they want people with upper intermediate and advanced..isn’t? thanks |
Honestly? In theory, it would be very important and it is indeed, but from how you have written your message it does not seem your English is that bad. Even if you have a very heavy accent, it is not a problem as long as you can carry on a conversation and speak without too many breaks in between. At the end it is all up to you and how you feel. More so during the interview. And it might take 2 weeks or 6 months to get a call so try to use English as much as possible in your everyday life, and that means watching movies and series in English and reading if you can't afford to go an English speaking country.
And it's not only important for Ryanair. Just saying... |
One more thing: if Ryanair like you but deem your English level not up to standard, they will tell you that in the email, ask you to work on it and give them a call again after six months.

Thanks for advice! yes I’m doing my best to improve English at home as well! and you are right..I have to start watching only Tv programs in English from now on! I’m going to wait some weeks anyway...before sending my application! :) |

İf I were you, I would study any time everywhere, this is not only about the Ryan air, maybe you don t have to be perfect but at least you should explain exactly what do you think. mostly, English not main language for people in the word. however English is the main language around the world. you can watch English movie, serial movie, aircraft investigation (especially national geographic) read about the aviation books. I m totally sure you will develop day by day then you feel ready for every interview.

Try it - best advice. If it‘s enough they‘ll tell you, if not...well, then at least you know it and can work on it. BTW that local Doblin-Slang (sic) is definitely not English as far as I can tell :oh: PS: Please stop using „!“ after every sentence...makes me kind of nervous reading that :p |
Someone told me that I’m ready..someone told me to take more time to improve. The truth is that at the moment I can’t say easily all what I think in my mind. But I have to find another way to explain something. i would like to know which level they are interested in. im not talking about TEA level. I mean general english..like elementary, pre intermediate, intermedieate, upper intermediate or advanced. what do you think? I need to knows it before applying because I can’t do the interview with this doubt. thanks |
As long as you're able to carry a conversation in English without too many breaks in between and grammatically correct, regardless of how heavy of an accent you have, you meet that requirement.
