Wizzair Pilot Academy

Hi mates!
Did anyone of you took a part in Wizzair Pilot Academy programme? They recruit candidates with no licences and no flying experience. If yes, could you please tell me what can I expect on 1st and 2nd day screening? How do interwievs look like, what they may ask? I will appreciate any kind of help :)

All the best!

Hello, emgie,
when you are invited for the 1st day screening?

emgie 18th May 2018 18:31

Hi Alexi, I've already passed 1st and 2nd day screening ;)

Alexisapilot 19th May 2018 16:27

I guess you registered for Warsaw session, right?
Could you tell me how it was? How did you prepared for COMPASS? And what next now?

emgie 21st May 2018 07:06

I was afraid of it but it was better than I thought :) In fact I didn't prepare to COMPASS because I didn' knot how it looks like and what skills should I improve. COMPASS tests your orientation, memory, reflex, taskmenager, basic technical knowledge, your English (general and aviation), maths and physics (quite basic but you have to calculate quickly only with your head, pencil and piece of paper - no electronical devices). You will also have personal psychological test (over 200 questions how would you react in some kinds of situations) and quick, nice chat with examinators. On 2nd day is teamwork (how do you cooperate with other people) and chat again. As you can find on their website, the last step is a meeting with psychologist. Besides, all your papers must be OK - criminal record, medical certificate class 1, bank account statement, loan ability etc. And the most important - ENGLISH. All test, tasks and chats are in English. You might have best skills but it will be useless if you didn't understand an instruction of a task :)

Sorry for no details but I don't know how much I can tell and I don't want any troubles with Wizz :)

Have you already started your recruitment process?

Alexisapilot 21st May 2018 21:30

It took 1 or 2 days, I canít remember that well. I received an email with an registered account on the school website and then I had to pay the fee for the selection. Did you already applied?

I am from France, maybe it is the issue. I read elsewhere they are only hiring roumanian and polish people.

Michael S 31st May 2018 13:26

Maybe itís because they know French people are disrespectful and canít bother to properly spell the nation and fail to put a capital letter at the beginning of nationís name (apart from French off course).

Not really a helpful comment.

If you read under the financials section, they state "Please note that currently the program is available with valid Romanian / Polish / Bulgarian residency only.". Although strictly speaking under EU Law you should fulfil that criteria if you are in possession of a French passport.

Thank you for your answer, it explains why they don't contact me :-). I think it was not written when I did my application.

Michael S 31st May 2018 15:09

It wasnít supposed to be helpful. It was supposed to highlight that both Polish and Romanian people deserve a basic level of respect like everybody. Reflected amongst all the things by capital letters in nationsí names or correct spelling. There is plenty of online dictionaries which can help in that matter.

Somehow the gentleman above didnít forget a captal letter in the word France. It says a lot.

PapaTangoCharlie 31st May 2018 16:06

Hi Michael,

Please, do not draw conclusions too quickly, you insinuate dirty things about me that are not true. I'm a really respectful person....

I explain you : it's a bad combination of circumstances : My english is quiet bad, and I forgot that in English you have to put capital letters for nationals. The fact is that in french gramar, there are capital letters only for the name of the contry, and not for the nationals. My mistake is just a bad reflex of french gramar.
For exemple, in French you write : "a french live in France" or "a polish live in Poland".
I should have written "I am french" instead of "I am from France".

Whatever, I've learned something today, and I hope I will not forgot the next Time ;-)

You do realize the poster may not be a native English speaker? In French language we don't capitalize nationalities when used as adjectives but we do capitalize countries. You'r so arrogant and narrow minded.

Hi all
Can anybody advise me please about the WizzAir Pilot Academy. I've been selected and invited to interview by Egnatia Aviation, but i can't make a decision. I am afraid that they could select more people than the WizzAir need and send them away after the completion of the first 5 months when you must pass the exams, for which you have to pay 22150 Eur. Does anybody go through all these steps and can share the experience with me? How serious is this school?
Thank you in advance!
