KLM Flight Academy

Hi everyone, I am posting that because I have been looking for some cadet programs to join. Here, in Spain there are very few. In special, I want to join to the KLM Flight Academy, cause my dream is to fly their planes.

I know that there is a lot of people posting about that, but this is another type of issue. My problem is I can't speak Ducht, and it is a compulsory requirement. So do you think they would refuse me? I have read in a post from 2005 (from this website, sorry I canīt put URLs) that is not a requirement, but it was many years ago.

Thanks for all your support, it's very important for me,

Pal if you can't speak the language and they specifically mention it as a prerequisite then it might be better to look at other opportunities.

If only we could freely choose which airlines we want to work for... Keep your options open!

This one is a bit nearer home! It's for Iberia.

Hey Giedo! Speaking as a graduate from KLM FA I do have to dissapoint you. All lessons, except from the part abroad at Lufthansa Arizona, are given in Dutch.
You might give it a try by sending an e-mail stating that before commencing the study you’d be on a reasonable level of Dutch. However, I do think that your chances of getting in are quite low.

Itīs a requirement to have a third level qualifications (University Degree) for the Iberia First Officer Programme in Jerez FTE

I have written to KLM and the confirm that Dutch is a requirement, in spite of I involve in learning Dutch

There are still chances to be KLM pilot, not by Cadet Program way of course :)

Yes there are chances, If you do your training with EPST. Also a dutch school. Pretty most of training is in UK and USA as far as I remember. It used to be like that. Maybe you could try them.

If you are not from KLM FA, EPST, Martin Flight Academy or Dutch Military, then NO chance to get in as RE.
