Job Search

Hello
I have a frozen ATPL with a total time of around 400 hrs without a type rating since 2000. I have not worked as an airline pilot before. Recently I have made all my licenses and ratings (SE/ME/IR) current again. I am 41 years old and I want to try again to find my first pilot job again.

My questions are:
1. Is 41 years old too old now?
2. Is a type rating necessary nowadays?
3. For people in a similar situation who did landed a job. How did you do your jobsearch?

Any tips or advice would be very welcome !

A TR without hours on type is not going to help.
Aim at AirTaxi, Aerial works (photo, measuring flights, etc) and small private planes (Navajos, Beechcrafts even DA42s).
With that keep yourself current and in the market.
Once you have 500+ your chances are better.

Try Loganair. 41 years old is nothing unusual for new Fo's. They are actively recruiting now. Good luck!
