CAE Oxford- Easyjet

Hi all I understand that there may already be a thread posted regarding generation easyJet but the ones I've seen mainly focus on the scheme through CTC. I have been invited for stage 2 of the scheme at Oxford, and booked it for the end of January. Does anyone have any experience of the easyJet selection days at Oxford, and if so is there anything specially that I should study before the day comes? Any advice I would greatly appreciate :)

EZY_FR 2nd Jan 2017 10:47

Hi there,
Happy new year! Congratulations for receiving an invite from OAA Luke! I was successful with the generation easyJet OAA assessment late last year, so I feel I could be in a position to help you out with your prep!
If I'm totally honest, there really isn't a whole lot you can do to prepare for the day. I would wholeheartedly recommend spending lots of time going through some gcse maths and physics revision though, so if you still have your textbook, have access to BBC bitesize or even CAE's own Physics prep pack (at a cost, but well worth the investment), you should be in a prime position to do well. There really isn't anything too surprising in the tests.
Keeping a cool head and avoiding getting flustered is important in order to do well in these aptitude assessments as it not only gives you a clear mind to work with, but it may also allow you to actually enjoy some of the tests! Practicing with some pilot aptitude software, such as latestpilotjobs and skytest, practicing with a joystick if you have a flight sim, etc will undoubtedly help you achieve that!
Best of luck! Send me a pm if you have any other questions.

I have done mate, thanks for your response.

jumuse 28th Jan 2017 13:53

Hi LukeChafer ! Have you been through the assessment day yet? What tests did you get?

Flotime25 2nd Feb 2017 14:57

I´m doing the assessment on the 14th of February. I´m preparing with the CAE Material for Maths and Physics. Anyone else doing the assessment on that day?

andy148 3rd Feb 2017 04:30

The Maths and physics CBT was really helpful to me, if you can get your way through them you'll do ok.

jumuse 7th Feb 2017 10:23

I am going on the 14th as well, also getting ready with the Maths&Physics package from CAE website

AA757 7th Feb 2017 14:22

For those who were invited, approximately how many weeks did you have to wait between your application and the invitation email?

Flotime25 7th Feb 2017 17:08

I applied on the 12th of December and after several phone calls and email contact with CAE I finaly got an invitation on the 18th of January.

Officer Kite 8th Mar 2017 09:14

From experience going through this with OAA my advice is don't call anyone at all at anytime. It won't make any difference to your application's speed of being processed either.

Speedbird148 8th Mar 2017 09:59

I applied over a week ago and was told the same after a phone call before submitting. I'm just trying to be patient for another week or so.

Speedbird148 21st Mar 2017 21:16

Thanks for the update. Would you recommend dropping them a call then. Been about a month since I submitted application.

Speedbird148 24th Mar 2017 13:12

Cheers. I did likewise.

Hi,

I was wondering if you had any advice on Stage 3 applications (interview and team exercise) as I noticed you said you were successful in applying to the generation easy jet scheme.

Any advice would be amazing

Thanks

Michael

Anyone having the easyjet stage 3 on the 18th of June at CAE Oxford?

Stage 3 CAE Generation easyJet

Guys,
in have just passed my stage 3 and all I can say for the interview is research the school, research the company and get a few good competencys that you would expect to receive as a pilot.
With the group exercise, make sure you are inclusive and get everyone involved whilst inputting your own ideas .

Good luck to all!

Knollsknows 23rd Apr 2019 15:03

Hey guys any last word of advice on the maths and physics part.

wannabecadet 27th Apr 2019 23:03

Hiya, wow congratulations! You must be over the moon! When do you start?

Bit random but when did you do your stage 3 assessment and how long after did you find out? And do you know if this generation Easyjet scheme is all MPL (when I sat down at the computer for stage 2 it said 'EasyJet MPL' and I don't remember being given the option of ATPL instead)? Thanks!

Cessnaflyer87 28th Apr 2019 09:37

Hi.

I start in May at the Madrid base as there is delays in the Oxford place due to high demand (c. Oct/Nov start date).

I did my stage three on 22nd of march and I found out I had got it 4th April. There are a set number of places for the MPL route and ATPL route and the choice is made for you.

I'm sure if you would prefer the ATPL route they would allow you to change, but I don't think that they would allow it the other way around as it is more costly? (however I am not 100% sure).

good luck for your stage three! If you need any help or guidance pm me.

UK Easyjet pilot training

Hi,
After doing research on the Easyjet training routes that can be taken, i've noticed that a large part of the training takes place in New Zealand or Arizona. Are there any other routes that would mean I wouldn't have to travel to these places? Can the entire programme not be completed in the UK?

Thankyou

lww500 22nd Jun 2019 18:15

Yup! Currently studying now and took a break to check on the forum. Haven't nosied through in a while.

Flyinghigh54674 30th Jul 2019 16:51

Does anyone know or heard of anything about the MPL generation EasyJet opening up anytime soon?

CAE

Hi

This subject has been covered lots and am very grateful for it. I am going in for a stage 2 easyJet on 30/03/2020 and as suggested have worked my way through CAE's maths and physics preparation. I have also been practising using Latestpilotjobs Oxford pack. Is there any more insight into these tests ie the order and what they were etc and although I have skytest (pan Asia) I am not sure what to practice on there. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated as I really want to give this my best shot. It can be through here or my email that is [email protected].
Thanks in advance

Luke

Got my stage 2 assessment in April. In the assessment guidance it mentions a fee for the assessments but I've booked on without having to pay anything. Is this right?

Yeah it’s right, there’s no fee for Stage 2 EasyJet. I’m booked on 6th April at Oxford

jamiejet87 29th Jan 2020 21:40

Thanks Lance. I'm on the same date. Good luck :ok:
