What time are you attending?

I'm really sorry to see all the rejection emails. Keep your chin up and use this as a learning experience!

Reply from FTE

Received a letter of rejection from FTE about 6 Hrs ago.
How many from outside UK, Ireland & Scotland received acceptance letter?
I was quiet sure of acceptance basis my answers to the essay questions. This came as a surprise!

No news is good news...

Hi folks! I applied last year for this cadetship and thus would like to share some advice. If you have not heard anything back yet about being accepted for the assessment phase, then you are probably in a holding pool. I didn't hear back about the assessment stage until I got a phone call from FTEjerez directly, asking if I could come in for an assessment. I got this phone call (if my mind serves me correctly) early on in the final week of assessments. I got the call because a position had become available, for whatever reason. Thus as the saying goes, no news is good news, and you have the added advantage of more time to prepare. Be ready though to go at the last minute. Good luck!

@EZY

8.30am start

It's an 8 hour day, so everyone starts together I think?

HeartyMeatballs 23rd Sep 2015 18:20

@Aveheart

Scotland is in the UK.

SomaliPilot 23rd Sep 2015 18:36

Guys good luck got rejection letter too! It seems that the first candidates got selected and the shear volume of applicants overloaded FTE Jerez. Did anyone had a solid reason they got rejected? Mine just says due too much applicants they couldnt give feedback on my application. :ugh:

All my brothers in here good luck make sure you do your best!!!

Gregitto 23rd Sep 2015 18:40

I believe that's the default answer for the candidates who didn't make it through.

Aer Lingus Cadet Program 2016

@HeartyMeatballs
Yes I am aware, that was just a typo in rush.

@somilipilot
Yes, That's the default answer everyone got.

Congrats to all who made it to the Assessment round.

L8Aviator 23rd Sep 2015 18:51

@Somalipilot

What do you mean 'first candidates got selected'? Do you mean those who returned their answers earlier in the process were selected? Do you have anything to back up that theory?

Also, for anyone who made it through, are any of you over 30?

The ones got accepted to the next stage were invited based on the quality of their answers, NOT the first group of cadets that applied!
