@mclodean: When I called last week for some information, the lady whom I have spoken with said that the last session for stage 2 is happening on the 13th, and the week after they will continue stage 3, maybe they are still going to compare your results with the new applicants sitting for their stage 2.

How did it go for you?

If I were you I would also try to give them a call too, to confirm :)

mclodeon 6th Jun 2014 09:59

MPL

I hope that was the reason anyway I will wait a little bit more and if I don´t get any answer I´ll call them.

I think I did it well. what about you?

Good luck

JohnBlair 6th Jun 2014 10:59

@mclodeon hola tío! Otro español por aquí! :)

I am in the same situation. I took the second stage just one week before you, on 30th April, and still haven't heard back from them. As you, I can't stop thinking that's a bad sign, since other people have been already asked to attend to the final stage.
I have also called oaa and they just ask me to wait :ugh:

casanovass 6th Jun 2014 12:54

Easyjet interview UK bases?

Do you know how the easyjet interview looks like nowadays? what kind or A320 tech questions they ask, HR questions? SIM assessment?

Thank you very much... :ok:

Danny212 6th Jun 2014 21:54

Anyone else starting in August? :)

vne10 6th Jun 2014 22:21

That's great bet you're chuffed to have the good news. I'm going crazy waiting for an answer! Do you mind me asking which school you applied to and what date your assessment was?

Danny212 6th Jun 2014 22:31

@vne10

The reality still hasn't hit me yet! I applied to OAA. I can't remember my Stage 2 date, but I had my Stage 3 on 22nd May. Bets of luck! :)

BigOllyG 8th Jun 2014 13:43

nice work Danny!!!

I was at the assessment for stage 3 on the 22nd as well, seemed like a good bunch!Congratulations I bet you are over the moon! What date do you start I bet it is all go for you now sorting the medical and the funding! Congrats again, I am very jealous, fingers crossed I get the good news myself soon!

All the best for your Easyjet career, hopefully see you there.

EZY_FR 8th Jun 2014 15:48

Well done on getting into the EZY scheme Danny, I wish you all the best with your career!

Danny212 8th Jun 2014 22:44

@EZY_FR Thank you! :)

@BigOllyG You're very right, I didn't think I stood a chance. I felt I may have taken a more reserved seat during group stages whilst everyone decided to repeat points over and over but I felt it may have made me seem a tad more 'shy'. Looks like it wasn't a problem. I hope you hear back very soon and good luck!

casanovass 9th Jun 2014 13:36

Hello again,

So do you have any ideas on how the interview works?! What stuff they ask etc etc?! Thank u guys :ok:

EZY_FR 9th Jun 2014 16:12

Interviews are competency based nowadays, i.e. give an example of when you done this, etc.

G-F0RC3 9th Jun 2014 18:56

Congratulations Danny. :)

BigOllyG 10th Jun 2014 08:09

Hi Danny, congratulations again, how did they let you know? Was it a phone call or and Email?

Cheers

casanovass 10th Jun 2014 10:21

Thank you very much EZY FR, i appreciate it, anything else specific on it?

Take care. :ok:

Danny212 10th Jun 2014 14:28

@G-FORC3 thanks mate!

@BigOllyG Thank you! They let me know via a phone call, after which followed an email. Good luck!

Timothy90 10th Jun 2014 17:12

Hello,

I have done the 3 stages with CTC and have also been told that I'm on the shortlist. This is turning out to be quite a waiting game!

Congratulations Danny212 and good luck to all others in the selection process.

nonsoloinglese 10th Jun 2014 18:45

@Danny212 - well done! I was at OAA on the 22nd as well still have yet to find out! Fingers crossed! August 4th is not far away!

EZY_FR 10th Jun 2014 23:30

casanovass

Since I haven't been through the process, I am not sure but I would imagine you would need to know easyJet inside out.

Timothy90 11th Jun 2014 18:32

Got a positive reply for CTC. Over the moon! Good luck all of you :ok:

G-F0RC3 12th Jun 2014 08:56

Congratulations guys. :)

casanovass 12th Jun 2014 09:49

Thank you very much for now easy fr...

If you happen to have mor news about selection and stud please let me know.. Take care :ok:

Danny212 12th Jun 2014 10:15

Thank you!!

And a big well done to all the CTC chaps getting the positive replies! To the guys who didn't quite make it until the end, honestly just don't give up!

BigOllyG 12th Jun 2014 10:40

Congratulations all on the positive replies! Keep your head up if you didn't get through this time, you will next!!!!

I am still awaiting a response from Oxford and I am really nervous, finding it hard to put it out of my mind and wait.

Good luck all those still waiting news.

CBM 12th Jun 2014 20:32

I completed Stage 2 on the 23rd of May at CAE OAA. I've made it through to Stage 3 thankfully! Which is meant to take place next week on Tuesday/Wednesday.

thomas320 13th Jun 2014 08:05

It is funny that CTC is already giving answers as they are not done with selections yet. I have booked a day on June 23rd.

Congratulations to the lucky ones !

LastPastthePost 13th Jun 2014 09:51

Found out I made it onto the program and I also passed the CAA medical, so can start celebrating now!

I enjoyed the medical, especially chatting to the other people. Its like a selection day without as much stress! However two (out of the four) of the people who attended at Gatwick didn't pass. They had undiagnosed problems, so I recommend that you get this before you start making other firm plans.

I think Oxford are trying to fill up the August class first. So if I can get everything in order for that then I should be flying a A320 in March 2016!

Congrats to everyone who made it. For those that don't know the outcome, I hope the FTO let you know soon..

nonsoloinglese 13th Jun 2014 10:25

Well done LastPastthePost what day did you do your Stage 3? I am nervously sitting here waiting for the good or bad news. Che sera' sera'..

Danny212 13th Jun 2014 13:00

@LastPasthePost

Congratulations and welcome! I'm a little worried that the finance won't get sorted by August...but hey ho I'm nearly ready to send off he applications...must admit its scary stuff!

vne10 13th Jun 2014 13:10

Well done to all those with positive responses, I'm still crossing my fingers.

Has anyone who was on the CTC easyJet shortlist had any rejections yet, or any positive replies for CTC August/Sept starts?

@Danny212 I'd imagine the majority of successful applicants would be taking out the loan (I might be wrong though!) so something doesn't seem to add up when they say the loan application can take three months yet they have only given one month's notice for those starting in July?? I'm sure the process could be expedited if needs be - perhaps someone with more experience of the loan process could advise?

BigOllyG 13th Jun 2014 13:32

I spoke to the finance department at Oxford, not sure if this rings true for CTC but I was told that they know how long the application for the loan can take and as long as you can show that it is being processed and you have met the requirements they are generally happy to take you on until the loan is approved.

I think they prefer you to have the money for the deposit though but I'm sure they will understand if you can't scrape that together. A girl I know on the MPL course this year said someone on her course only got the loan sorted last month and applied for it this time last year! So they do understand that the loan can take a while to get sorted.

Hope this puts your mind at rest but as I said I'd check with CTC first!

vne10 13th Jun 2014 13:40

Thanks for the info @BilOllyG, that's really interesting to hear about the flexibility with timescales for getting the loan sorted. I suppose the only worry would be to be declined for the loan and have already commenced the course but I'm sure BBVA would advise initially on whether the loan is likely to be accepted.

Cheers and good luck to the rest of us still waiting!

nonsoloinglese 13th Jun 2014 14:35

Danny212, did they mention anything about VAT? I am yet to hear back but in my planning I am hearing that it is not included but applies for VAT...

Also worth noting that interest is accrued from drawdown so the longer you can put that off the better. Ideally you would want to drawdown on a monthly basis reducing the total interest payable but I am not sure if that is possible.

Boe787ing 13th Jun 2014 21:30

CAE OAA Stage 2

I attended today - found the assessment set up some what ridiculous!

Worst thing was computers kept crashing....

Has anyone who went today found out if they got thru??

FlyingColours1 16th Jun 2014 11:04

Congratulations to all who have made it through so far. Just got my email inviting me to attend stage 3 of the assessment with OAA, very excited!

One thing that caught me by surprise is the line at the bottom which says:
"Before you can be offered advancement you will be required to have an in date Instrument Rating."

I have a PPL currently, but haven't even thought about an IR! Did anyone else have this problem?

alexisbarboule 16th Jun 2014 12:40

OAA stage 2 assesment

I went through the stage 2 on friday 13th.

To be honest I've been disappointed on the way applicants are treated...:(

I am still waiting for the results.... I hope to be lucky enough to be selected for stage 3 And hope I will have enough time to organize my trip to Oxford from Toulouse.

Concerning the tests... cold start with to my sense the most difficult one! And what about this incredible personality test! :ugh:

Boe787ing 17th Jun 2014 07:16

Yes applicants were treated like primary school children, they seemed severely short staffed to say the least. Considering they were making around 4k from the applicants on the day, one would hope for more respect....

I am also sure that we should have been allowed as much time as possible on that silly 225 question test....they just seemed to have double, tripled booked and wanted it all done asap... there were even people starting at 3.30pm :(

anyone else from Friday 13th get a response???

AnArChYm 17th Jun 2014 07:26

OAA Stage 2

@alexisbarboule, @Boe787ing: I have also attended the stage 2 at OAA last Friday morning (13th). Personally this was my first time sitting for these kind of tests, so I can't compare this experience with anything. However I totally agree with you that the first Maths test, was hard, although I guess that this Maths test was used to easily shortlist applicants at a glance, where speedy calculations had to be a priority. Same as you guys I'm still waiting for a reply from the academy.

@FlyingColours1, Well done and wish you best of luck :) When was your 2nd stage done? Was it in June 7 or 13th?

BigOllyG 17th Jun 2014 09:44

Hey Flying colours, do you know the dates for stage 3 yet?

Cheers and good luck.

mclodeon 17th Jun 2014 10:53

OAA

I went through the stage 2 in May 7th and I didn´t hear any news yet. Does anyone know something? should they answer me even if I have negative results?

Congratulations to everyone with positive news.
