Integrated Vs Modular

I know this is a topic widely discussed amongst PPRuNers, but I can't find anywhere that answers my question:
Other than the cost of the course, what is the main difference between Integrated and Modular, and why do some airlines say that they will only recruit people who have done it 'the integrated way'? surely it's the same qualification, and you can do the course in the same amount of time, so why does it matter?
Also, which airlines will employ you with a modular, and after that, is it possible to get a job, because you have experience, with somewhere that 'only' uses integrated pilots?
Thank you

Pull up a chair, and read the "modular v integrated" sticky thread, right from the beginning. This will give you a good idea of the differences between the two routes, the pros and cons and pitfalls of each.

In any case the distinction between the two is academic unless you are genuinely choosing between the two routes. Can you afford an integrated course? If not, modular is your only option!
