Does anyone get anywhere with P2F?

Hello all,

I was just wondering all them depressed pilots out there willing to pay money to programs like eagle jet and risking there lives flying for susi air are actually getting airline jobs at the end? There seems to be alot of pay for your type rating theses days which seems to be getting more common day by day but comes with some sort of job prospect at the end of it i.e. RYR! But is there pilots out from Lion air actually being hired by european oporators?

btw I'm not for P2F! even tho I'm a Frozen ATPL holder I like working in the GA sector (and I'm NOT A FI btw).

Everyone that follows P2F gets well paid work. FACT.

EK, BA and even VA have taken people recently following a period of P2F.

It is the only way in now.

I know 5 guys that have done it and believe it or not, 4 of them have a job.

Did they get a job back in their home country or was the job with the p2f company or company in the same country?

Assuming they moved abroad for the p2f, ofc.

Only 1 of them got a job with the company he did the p2f with, he left after about 6 months I think because he got a job with another airline, 2 of the others knew people in the airline they applied for and the other got VERY lucky, even told me himself.

risking there lives flying for susi air
You ever flown for them?

Mr-P 17th May 2012 18:07

I know 2 and both got a job quite quickly back in the UK and both with what I would class good airlines. I wish them both well as I like them both however I feel this is disappointing and sends out the wrong message about this industry.

I'm against PTF and will not partake however it is one (and seemingly good) way into an airline whether I like it or not....

Nope I haven't flown for them! I just know from the amount of accidents susi air have unfortunately!

I know of two people, one now works for a reputable UK based airline and the other probably will shortly to.

Sure there are plenty of horror stories but it does seem to work out fine for some.

I know lots of guys who are getting loads of hours done with the various p2f programs. I should think they will get work after having 2500+ hours on type.
