Type Rating...pros and cons?
Just want to get some feedbacks on the pros and cons of paying for a type rating before getting a job? and
What type rating would be best for the Australian and overseas industries? A320/737/etc and Where is the best place to do the training? |
TR work for some, don't for others. If you do not have a JAA license, they generally wont work for you. I.e. you are not likely to gain employment with an ICAO license and a TR so don't bother.

Welcome to Pprune and in particular the Wannabees forum. The questions you ask have been asked and answered many times before - and recently. May I ask you to use the 'Search' function to find them? Furthermore the idea of paying for a Type rating and even 'Paying to fly' schemes that give line flying experience with an airline are very emotive subjects - as a quick search will reveal. Consequently, before the usual sciolists gather around to regurgitate their own ideology once more, I am closing this thread! HWB |
