Respectable IGCSE Grades?
 

Hello there,
I've searched for this one on PPRune and couldn't find anything related to this.
My question is simple but broad. What GCSE grades does one need to get into a good airline?
By good airline I mean charter airlines (That have a good reputation: EasyJet) and companies like British Airways.
I'm doing IGCSE - higher tier, not GCSE, at school. Is there any difference with this?

My view would be it doesnt make any difference.

There will be many pilots out there with good gcse grades, and good Alevel grades, and a good degree behind them, perhaps a masters too, who still have not managed to be given an inteview with any airline!

Where you do your flight training seems to be most important, how much money you spend seems to be directly proportional to the end success!!

Save £100K go to Oxford/ctc, buy a type rating and I dont think your pre flight school grades will count for anything!

However having the grades when you do not get a flying/airline job, and need to earn money elsewhere is when it helps.

Have a back up plan!!

I'm lucky enough to have 100K +, so you think It's likely for me to get a job if I go integrated with CTC or OAA?
But of course, I will have a back up plan

I've never heard of an IGCSE only standard GCSEs. I suggesr just to try and do as well as you can!

IGCSE = International GCSE...

Basically the same.. minor differences but exams should be the same.

I did IGCSE as i was not living in the UK and we had to do our exams at the same time the students in the UK were sitting their GCSE's
