Thomas Cook

Just had a look on the website, looks like they are looking to recruit, Was wondering if they take on low hours cadets, will that be through the scheme they do with Flybe,

"Dash 8 type rating and 2 years with Flybe then onto the Airbus or Boeing with Thomas Cook.”

Or maybe do a type rating on the Airbus/Boeing then straight to Thomas cook.

I don't have any qualifactions yet, but I would like to know what are the minimum requirements.
Only 200 hours for junior FO?

CABUS 18th Dec 2010 20:58

I disagree, I wouldnt be suprised at all if Thomas Cook take a few low hours chaps on and I hope they do as I am hoping to get a good friend in.

Best of luck to all who apply!:ok:

I think there will be enough type-rated applicants...

Coffin Corner 20th Dec 2010 20:21

Where the hell are all these TR candidates coming from? (apart from the obvious rated in jobs). More to the point, where the hell is the money coming from to pay for this never ending stream of TR candidates? It really does beggar belief.

JB007 21st Dec 2010 16:30

Lots of guys Coffin forced to move to the Middle East or take what jobs were available in the last 12 to 24 months...guys with Boeing/Airbus ratings and lots of hours on type who would like to return home and/or normality!!!!

Was always going to be the case...

If you know what EU LVO's are, and have even flown RNAV or with GNSS, answer "YES". Simples.

Dear All,

Just wondering if any of you remember the academic entry requirements for the Thomas Cook cadet scheme (as obviously the webpage details have expired now) is it the same as flybe with the A-level maths and physics (or other science based subjects).

Proving to be a major bummer, my degree as a back up plan was in politics which made me go for now irrelevent A-levels!

Thanks very much, and best of luck with the job hunt.
