What about RJ Flight Academy in Dubai???

Hi Folks

can anybody give some advice about RJ Flight Academy in Dubai??

wigwag 13th Dec 2010 18:05

Think there are threads when it was called Random Aviation.

Training is good, ground instructors are okay, but instructors not being paid i hear. So be careful before spending money you might not get it back.

But this is a rumour.

thank you wigwag.

after reading many post in differents forums I still dont know which TR I should choose. In one hand I love 737NG and Line training is cheaper, but on the other hand 320 seems with better optiom for a job after line training which is a way more expensive.

any body can give some advide? why should I choose one and not the other?

thanks guys/girls

I have been talking to to Rj flight academy for this program and they are asking 35000euros + u should do the type rating from the same place then only u r eligible for the line program. They are also not giving any job guarantee.Do u you know with which airlines will they conduct 300hours line programs????I guess it Bahrain Air but i have heard about it that they will kick u out of the company immediately once u r the done with 300 hours.

Do u know any place where we can get line training on 737 as i like that plane a lot + the line training is much cheaper then the 320??

What say???

Well, at the end of the day it is your choice, and your money, which you choose. Good luck because you'll need it.

Think about what you want ? what you seek? Is it a job? or just a hobby for fun?

If its a job, then don't do it because there are no jobs, otherwise so many pilots type rated and hours on type will have work.

Hobby ? Then buy a rating where you have more P2F schemes to choose from and try to haggle add some more fun you.

If you want to pay then try Bharain air or eagle jet or lion air and pay them. I think you must pay about $600 per sector, plus visas, rating, uniform, transport to airport, food and anything else they want. You cannot just pay for the line training you must remember everything else.

But I hope you have fun if you want to pleasure fly in an airbus a320. It seems like there are lots of rich kids out there doing it now.

Dont Pay for Type-Rating, 500 or 300 hours is bull****. There are Hundreds of Experienced Pilot with Thousands of Airbus time and looking for jobs. Paying 75,000 Euros My friend is rubish and even if you work you can never make that savings. Invest in any Business and you will make more money . As flying nowadays has become a JOKE , its You will waste your money.

As soon as you finish your type, http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...s/censored.gif RJ Academy will tell you that you are not qualified for line trainning or there is no space. They just want their simulator to work.

They will promise and promise till you promise not to even call them

Hello every one,
I just approached RJ, just incase worse come to worse.
I think im glad i found this post, but the truth to be said, i don't think its only RJ, its almost all aviation training organizations, their sole aim is to be profitable.
Got the C-ME/IR, never knew that it would be this difficult to repay my debt, not only that (never thought that ill be paying to gain experience).
Don't want to be skeptical, but i think i got fouled by the media, and flying schools, where they advertize that there are so much demand that Boeing and air bus can't meet the demand and the world will be needing 500,000 pilots in 20 years = Experienced pilots looking for jobs!!!!!!!!!!!!
I understand that 300-500 hours is not that flattering, but its better than Zero.
I know a TR won't promise you a job, but i think its better than not having it (not sure about that).
Seeking advice on what will be the best approach to the current situation.

Gday to all

nibraska, you said:

"Don't want to be skeptical, but i think i got fouled by the media, and flying schools, where they advertize that there are so much demand that Boeing and air bus can't meet the demand and the world will be needing 500,000 pilots in 20 years".

So did you learn to fly because you read a flying school or boeing article?

Your words:
"but i think i got fouled by the media, and flying schools".

Come on man, are you serious?

You should throw your license in the rubbish and give it up?
Right?

wigwag 25th Dec 2010 18:50

:ugh: Still cannot believe so many pilots still out there paying bucket loads.

Oh well, good luck to you all and best of luck. So go and spend your money and have fun and FAST TRACK YOUR CAREER to bankruptcy.

Still understand that the rumour of RJ are have NOT paid instructors to date snd that they where offered time off instead to make up for no pay, :p Yeh cause that will help pay the bill's back home wont it ? :D

Pilots paying to fly, instructors not being paid, therfore working for free, great situtation just great.

Is it true then, i.e. that RJ Flight Academy use Bahrain Air for the line training?

MartinCh 27th Dec 2010 11:50

Still understand that the rumour of RJ are have NOT paid instructors to date snd that they where offered time off instead to make up for no pay,
Hmm, that's helluva superior business maths, that gem.
I hope if true, the unpaid staff take it up, get paid or not work anymore and file a lawsuit. Sounds very typical of an outfit that's about to fold, whether intentionally (lining someone's pocket) or not. I hope this won't turn out so.
Anyway, who'd pay/put down such huge sums of money without using solid escrow at least? Regardless of value for money or job market/opportunities.

Random
Well, yes, some people can't spell Randhem. BUT, 'renaming' has something to do with fact that ex-HoT left R.A. and started RJ, right?
Randhem is/was Swedish FTO/TRTO doing some training in the US, so obviously there can't be direct brand connection, if it's separate enterpreneurial endeavor

Gday southernsky ,
Thanks for ur reply, and sorry for the late reply just saw your reply, and i must say:
1- I really wouldn't imagine the world with out your type and attitude (you really make my day)
2-Off course i know the exact reason for such attitude, but im sure the viewers are really wondering what are you trying to prove.
3-Seriously, im still looking forward for extra advices from people such as your self, off course other than throwing my license in the rubbish and giving it up (which i already did) :)

Hope to hear from you soon master:)

RJ

Have received an email with all the info on this P2F scheme
55000 euros, Nice one mate.

southernskyz 28th Dec 2010 19:37

nibraska,

Your exact words:

Don't want to be skeptical, but i think i got fouled by the media, and flying schools,
where they advertize that there are so much demand that Boeing and air bus
can't meet the demand and the world will be needing 500,000 pilots.

*Don't forget you initially wrote this, not me.

There is no media article saying 500,000 pilots are needed in 20 years time. You must have mis-read it.
Maybe it's 50,000 to 100,000 pilots but not what you're saying.
**Please show me where i can find this article?

What am i trying to prove?
Did you really get fooled by the media and flying schools? As you say?
