Lion Air - Indonesia

Does anyone know what is going on regarding recruitment with this company?

Apparently they've ordered loads of NG's and the waiver to allow foreign pilots has been signed by their goverment. However every time I click on the icon for pilots on their web page nothing happens..:ugh:

Any info would be appreciated.

Search Lion Air on PPRUNE - there's a whole bunch of threads with a lot more info on the situation there

Here's a good one to start with

Salary starts at 581 Euros netto.
Max salary for first officer during the first year is 860 Euro's netto per month. (all inclusive)

The typerating costs approximately 33k. (incl. basetraining)

Housing is arranged by the company as well as on duty transportation. You get one ticket for travel on lionair per year. No other travel is provided. Nine days vacation per year.

Ok thank you. That thread answered a lot of my questions, but I have one more question left. What is the salary for an ab initio? The rumours I have heard is that they pay only 600 euros a month. Does somebody know this true?

Fred_fr 16th Jul 2009 09:12

Yes it's true check this Lion Air jobs, payscales and entry requirements.

any update about Lion Air?

zedoscarro 24th Jul 2009 19:26

Heard about some fellas who paid for these "programs" but then, at the end, the company sent them back home. No place for them there...

Kirks gusset 24th Jul 2009 23:19

Chances are you will not get a visa granted to start training there on the 737 or in Air Asia on the A320. Local rules change daily and the authorities take a long time to issue permits.

Lion air dont pay for fly

All via CAE, and it is a lie, they only want your money, forget it, from the screening up to the type rating, so forget it, guys dont bent yourself on this.
I am very comprehensive about the ones who do not have a job, but paying is not the solution, is only making the hole biger in your pocket and less working conditions.:ugh:

Just thought I would give this thread a bump, I know it is singling out someone and they are probably a nice guy but I want people to realize that PTF schemes do not work and just wast your money. Turkish777 who started this thread did a scheme with eagle jet in 08 and is still looking for a job, you can see this by looking at past posts. Not only does PTF put qualified people out of work as you are PAYING to do the job of an FO if does not help you and you could end up like this guy, really scraping the bottom of the barrel considering lion air, a very dodgy outfit from Indonesia where incompetent pilots have killed 100's of people. Pay is terrible, living conditions are terrible, why pay 10,000's pounds to get some experience whilst putting qualified people out of work so you can look for jobs like this and it appears not get it. It is a waste of money, destroys the industry and does no one any good as you are shooting yourself in the foot.

Salary

Hi, I got the information from CAE, that the starting salary is 22 Million IDR, which is about 1800 Euros, the tax is paid by the company, also the accomodation, which is the Harmoni Apartement Complex in Jakarta! Vacation is 14 days per year and every two weeks you get your schedule!

581 Euros is not in my knowledge, seems very low, even for Indonesia. Crew Transport is organised, while on Duty!

CAE says the line training takes very long, thats why they dont accept new applications right now, it is a bit strange, I hope that they will not work together with Eagle Jet International sooner or later. Th

The typerating at CAE costs 28.500 Euro plus VAT, and the maximum salary as FO is 26 Million IDR, which is about 2300 Euro! These are the correct numbers, as known on this date, April 4th 2010!

Good luck!
