Depends on the Airport where you work. Very Few people actually have the job title Aircraft Marshaller, most people Marshall Aircraft as part of their job. At some Airports this can be ramp agents, at other Airports this can be Airside Safety Unit Staff. Aircraft Marshalling is great fun, but it normally takes a few years of working your way up before you can get that far. It took me two years to get my mits on a set of bats! I still miss it today! Great fun!

I can think of serveral airports where marshalling is done by the loaders or other ground staff. and too be honest they dont look the least bit interested in it because they know all we are going to do is follow the great big yellow line infront of us.
