Is Cityjet/CTC scheme still alive?
Hi boys and gals,
just wondering if anyone has applied for Cityjet lately. I applied 2 months ago and I still haven't received any answer wether my application has been successful or not. Does anyone know if they cancelled the scheme and they just can't be asked even answering? Cheers! |
According to my info, the intake for this year is finished. They will commence with the selection in the coming year.

They have a full belly of SilverJet, Zoom and XL pilots.

sx_stavros, I'm kind of in the same situation as you. I only sent my application of few weeks ago, but haven't heard from them since. Sent them an email but no answer...
Hopefuly they'll keep us posted pretty soon on what their plans are |
They have got type rating courses planned all the way into late 2009, however they have a steady stream of people with jet experience so perhaps these people will be given priority?

Hey Boeing100,
did u sent that e-mail to CTC or Cityjet itself? I was just wondering if those that they have applied for Cityjet are still eligible for applying for the CTC Cadet scheme. If they take longer to reply I m thinking of applying to CTC directly. If u know anything just let me know Cheers |
Probably Not
In Flight today there is an advert for a Cityjet / FTE Scheme. CTC holding pool near to overflow with Monarch and Easyjet cadets returning shortly. Only positive side is that CTC may be about to place more cadets into the freight market. Now is not the time to be swimming or holding your breath. |
MEDIA RELEASE
8 October 2008 CITYJET WINGS GETS OFF TO A FLYING START The first CityJet Wings pilots landed this month at CTC’s Crew Training Centre – Hamilton to start the initial phase of their airline pilot training programme. After the launch in May of this year, this unique programme attracted a great deal of interest and the successful candidates passed the combined CityJet and CTC Wings selection process in impressive style. Irish airline, CityJet, announced CTC Aviation as a preferred airline pilot training provider in after visiting their Crew Training Centres in both the UK and New Zealand earlier this year. “We were immediately impressed by not only the airline quality, career development programme and high success rates through training, but also the extensive, modern facilities provided for cadets throughout their training” said CityJet’s Manager Flight Operation Resources, David Finn. CityJet wanted to demonstrate a commitment to their cadet pilots throughout their training – this desire led to the creation of ‘CityJet Wings;’ a programme combining the values and commitment of Ireland’s leading airline with the experience and dedication to airline-focussed training CTC Wings is renowned for. The ‘CityJet Wings’ course of 2008 – Pierre-Emmanual Rocha from Ouvergne in France, Mark Taylor from Gillingham in Kent and Charlie Ricketts, David Peebles and Tom Rutherford from London - attended their CityJet induction day at London City Airport on Tuesday 23 September before joining the rest of their course contemporaries for their CTC Wings Cadet Development Day at CTC’s Group Headquarters later that week. On hearing he had been selected, Charlie Ricketts said "I am absolutely delighted - I think it is an amazing opportunity to be sponsored through CTC’s prestigious training programme and to ultimately fulfill my dream of becoming an airline pilot with CityJet." The group will be on target to start flying as AVRO RJ85 pilots for CityJet in time for summer 2010. Further ‘CityJet Wings’ courses are planned during 2009 – keep an eye on the CTC Wings website for updates and new partner airlines over the coming weeks – AIRLINE PILOT TRAINING ENDS http://www.ctcwings.co.nz/pdfs/news/...ton_8oct08.pdf |
I have received a few e-mails asking me to send more info regarding my studies (grades, subjects etc) and with the request to reply the e-mail to let them know the info has been updated.
