Jet2 and other budget airlines
 

Just wondering what requirements are needed to be a Jet2 pilot? Do they look at low hours Fatpl pilots, no type rating? and any other info on where budget airlines recruit from an there requirements??

A handful come from CTC - we unfortunately have to go to CTC to get a rating given to us. But I hear CTCs days are numbered, due to issues with their instructors. If you are on the 757 you get to miss CTC and go to GECAT.

Last year the majority were ex-TP and low houred from a range of schools. A couple of years ago they took a load from Oxford. This year a few from CTC, some low houred from other places, including an ex-Jet2 cabin crew, and from some who are already rated.
