Hi EYZ,
I wouldn't ask you from where you get this information because the way you present it, it seems from reliable sources. What I would like to ask is that: When the shortlisting for november course will happen? and While uploading CV I mentioned that soon I'll upload my current medicals, but now it's one and half month and I couldn't get my medicals because there is no aviation medical examiner in Afghanistan, so do you think that this can ruin my case? |
It would have really been cool to meet some of you guys...would have made for a great laugh...all us wanting to get get selected so we can fly a bus:D
|
but what does it means?
|
Hey 121,
What do you mean? Neve lose hope. I'm still trying to get my medical and upload it. |
Do u guys mean that without a medical the application wouldnt be considered?
and does anybody know if a uni education would be any benifit in the application process? |
Yes yes, all it says on the site is to upload your CV and other personal detail.

Well said 121ace...Bravo! :D

Dear 121,
I have well read that. But, remeber that from reading a topic different poeple will have different perceptions. In my case, I have mentioned that while uploading CV I had promised to soon upload my current medicals, and while I couldn't do that for one and half month, I thought they will pretend that I'm not medically fit, and I'm sure every one gets curious about every odds and ends in these kinds of situations. for eligiblity EY has stated on their website: Eligibility http://www.etihadairways.com/NR/rdon...ld_Line_01.jpg • Age between 18 and 26 years • Medically fit to fly • Accredited secondary school diploma or higher with proven pass grades in Physics, Mathematics and English Thus, they can be considered initial factors of shortlisting. So if you don't upload your medical, how will they know if you are medically fit (and what if there is nothing to show if you have ever passed any class of medical) I'm not saying that it is a requirement it's just my perception. And don't you think if along other things if you upload your class 1 medical, can at least support your shortlisting? Regards, Aventhusiast |
121 ace you're sounding like a complete ass yourself!
BTW your only supposed to upload your CV. |
Yeah, you're right 121ace.
But a pilot must also be open minded, kind and ready to help... Not sacarstic or disdainful. If you behave like that during the group test, as intelligent as you can be, no wonder you will have some troubles.... :hmm: |
medical
ace121,
there is absolutely no wrong in ensuring before any application process that an applicant is completely elegible to apply, including that they meet the required medical standards. how stupid would your sarcastic ass look if you were short listed, passed the interview and selection process and failed at the final medical assesment.:uhoh: i am sure that at that point you would give a flying . at any rate, where people are trying their best to get a position on a course to achieve their ambitions, and noting that nearly everyone on this thread is a 'wannabe' you should be providing each other with support and advice, not witty comments. looking through your posts on this thread, with your manner of communicating with people, you don't stand a chance of being selected untill you sort your attitude out. based on the little i have seen, I'd sit next to aventhusiast on a flight deck any day over you.:hmm: |
metallicwings
hey splashbrooke,
You posted a thread on the Etihad Cadet Pilot Program stating that u r already through with another cadet scheme, can u pls give me the details of the scheme? I too have applied with Etihad, but would not mind getting into any other program because there will be so many applications with Etihad and my chances may be very very narrow. Hope to hear from you soon, pls!!! |
capital letters
did you mean arrogant... or ignorant?!:}
must side with splashbrooke, great big smile!:ok: |
guys and girls lay off 121ace; He's 18 and all hormonal! his post made me laugh to after a hard day at work! ;)

Calm Down
Hi....:)
Please Calm down guys, I applied for emirates aviation college (engineering Dept.) & they required the same qualifications...I joined and had the tests + medicals AFTER being selected & here I am (will graduate in Sept 08), Moreover, it is mentioned in the website: Medical Examination Cadet pilots will be required to undertake and pass the company’s standard medical and dental examinations prior to joining. Cadet pilots will also be required to undertake and pass the UAE government standard medical examination and the GCAA medical examination. Details will be given during a briefing prior to joining the programme. (http://careers.etihadairways.com/ehi...obDetails.aspx) This means...when your application is shortlisted, the company will ask you to go & do the Medicals prior to arriving to Abu Dhabi OR (Most Probably) they will do it for you (appoint doctors & Pay them)...this is just what I so with the Emirates Airlines "Emarati National Cadet Pilot Program". I'm not trying to be on anybody's side...but I would consider a medical report as an advantage...but this won't have any effect on your application, as you will have to go throught the process again (even if you were a professional pilot who is transferring from an airline to another). |
I guess you are very lucky ace to straight into pilot training, so why an earth are you applying to the etihad program?
From your last post i can safely say that your maturity is lacking. I wish you and all others luck in their journey to the left hand seat ;) |
Gentlemen,
Please, let's not to be off topic. BTW, those who had received shortlisting confirmations, anything further than that? |
aventhusiast,
i dont think anyone got shortlisted yet! |
Not expecting much from this Etihad programme and certainly isn't my main route - but hey.. if they offer me a place then rock on :) I have just passed the skills assessment at OAA and have paid the deposit so even if etihad come back and say yes i won't accept. 121ace you seriously make me laugh! :p |
But you won't accept as you have already paid the deposit for the november course at OAA! (otherwrise you will lose the 3k deposit) Just a thought... |
