Not enough pilots??, so they can not expand??, when the market has thousand of unemployed pilots ready to fork a fortune for their type rating.

Please, let me laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am laughing so much, please help, I can not stop!!!!

AHAHAHAH!they make fun of us!

The problem comes from the number of TREs and training cpts for line training....

They also may have problems with the irish aviation authority if they hire too many "ab initios" without sufficient number of hours.
The authority said they may not immatriculate aircrafts.....

dcmejodel 17th Nov 2005 13:11

Well..in this case it might have some delay for pilots who has just finished their type rating!!

Damned! If we succed in the interview and paid our type rating, when we would join the airline!!!

Anyone have some information about that?!

herta 17th Nov 2005 13:33

Well I would beleive that it would depend upon number of hours on type.
With 0 hour without JAR25 experience....should the line training be much longer than with 500 hours on the 737...

dcmejodel 17th Nov 2005 15:10

You are totally right herta!!

Do you have any information how long time is between the end of rating and your first commercial flight??

Actualy..nobody knows..

herta 17th Nov 2005 15:23

Well, I ve talked to an FR cpt that told me that currently the newly rated "ab initio" have to wait between 3 to 5 month after their rating before starting operation..... that might be the reason FR recruits priorly people with 100 or more hours on type...

dcmejodel 17th Nov 2005 16:50

:D Thank you very much !

Well..it seems that you might know quite a lot about Ryanair..:ok:

Do you have some tips that it might be known about the recruitment in order to get a type rating scheme?

Actualy, I am interested in applying for type rating scheme.

And any information could help me ;)

herta 18th Nov 2005 07:20

I ve applied 3 times to the TR scheme... but the 3rd time they sent me email telling me that there were so many applicats (over 3000) that were would not garantee me to invite me for selection....

A320rider 20th Nov 2005 12:31

same thing for me.
applied, reapplied,...

dcmejodel 22nd Nov 2005 15:39

Well...how many times we are going to apply..

So, shall we wait for Ryan or get through another sponsorship ratting scheme?

The harsh reality is that you are not as useful as skippers and experienced FO's. Priority is to train up new skippers and FO's who have command time/potential before long, as well as convert the remaining -200's drivers onto the -800.
Anyway, one wonders why you're sights are not set on a different airline. You WILL get screwed if you join FR. But then, maybe you're into that :E
