CTC Selection

Hello Ladies and Gents,

Just been browsing through the CTC threads, and was wondering if anyone that has been through the whole CTC Wings selection process can advise on how long you have to wait to start the AQC from passing stage three?

Cheers.

As far as I know, and I've not gone through phase 2 yet, the AQC happens right at the end the course. i.e once you've passed phase 4 and completed the whole thing. so if you've passed phase 3 and you pass phase 4 you've only got about a year or so to go!

I might be wrong but best of luck!

I believe that CAT3C AUTOLAND is referring to what used to be the ATP scheme rather than the ab-initio scheme (since his profile indicates that he already has CPL/IR).

To answer the question (or not in this case!), I think it can be quite variable and demand dependent, but I'm sure other people can tell you how it was for them...

As has already been said, yes, length of wait does vary... heres my experience....

Submitted my application form in August 2004, usual letter received. Phase 2 March 2005, with Phase 3 a week later.

Then told to wait until being called, ''could be a few months'', but someone dropped out and I started AQC beginning April - passed end of april '05, 5 days after that, started Type rating, line training starts this Saturday. So, all in all, 11 months from start to finish.

Good luck

Thanks chaps, I appreciate the feedback, VP, thanks for the PM, I have returned a message to you.

MBCXHarm, yes you are quite right, I was referring to the ATP Wings scheme.

GGPMW, good luck with your type rating, I have a number of friends that have just finished type ratings on jets, and are loving their line training, so enjoy it.

All the best guys.
