Essential Qualities of the Future Airline Pilot.

1. Be Co-ordinated - For instance to be able to touch ones toes while simultaneously drop your trousers and pants is a huge advantage.

2 Be able to think in advance - i.e. to have greased ones self up before the co-ordination mentioned above is required ability

3 Always Have a Standby Plan - Always have a spare jar of KY or Vaseline available in case the Flt Ops Manager does not have his/hers when seeing how capable you are at 1 & 2

4 Preferably have done Time Inside - You will then be well used to the solitary confinement of today’s flight deck.

5 A clinically proven case of insomnia will help - Crewing firmly believes you do not require sleep so this will help.

6 A sense of Humour - Not to be offended when an Airhead tells you he/she should be paid the same as you as they spend more time on their feet while doing the service.

7 A love of Hotel architecture - You will send a lot of time in your room.

8 A large trust Fund - You are unlikely to retire with anything near the pension you will need.

9 Another couple of careers to fall back on - At some pint you will be laid off.

10 The ability to look at all things positively - In which case disregard the above!

Hi there,

A good Airline Pilot for the future is a person who can:

Recognises & adheres to S.O.P's
Balanced Authority
Acts decisively when required
Communication/Resource/Work load management concepts

just a "few" examples.

What are the attributes of the future airline pilot?

Perhaps finding creative ways of answering glib application form questions...

Good luck, Smiggies.

Jinkster,

Tell them that you can offer your safe reliable record of hard work and achievement.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Maturity and stability.

Honesty and a safe pair of hands onto the flight deck.

Keeness to learn your trade as a First Officer.

These are the sort of things you need to be thinking about.

Hope this helps.
