Q400 Type Rating

Does anyone know the cost of a Q400 Type Rating?

Accepted on the flyBE Part Sponsorship course, however the Guarantor contracts came and they just refer to "Costs incurred by flyBE" and not £40K as referred to in the Prospectus.

I just want to check for my Guarantor that in the event it does all go arse up that the cost of a Q400 Type Rating plus the flyBE £24K contribution doesn't amount to much more than £40K, i.e. no nasty surprises!

best thing to do is phone and check. then you'll get a definite answer.

Not sure of the cost, but I know a few people that have just gone out to Toronto, Canada to start theirs.

Flybe bond their un-rated pilots for £13.5K over 3 years on joining, so it would seem to be a reasonable deduction that this is the cost of the rating for the Q400.
