Anyone from Logan who might care to comment on what new aircraft type the company is considering to replace the ATP's operated by Citiexpress?

Firestorm 23rd Sep 2004 14:21

The cynics at LC are suggesting ATPs as the replacement for the ATPs... No news: loads of conjecture and speculation. Nobody seems that bothered or interested. Most people seem to want to leave!

Tinstaafl 24th Sep 2004 06:06

How about the Islanders? :E Seems they might be under utilised soon-ish. 4 in use to service current contracts + 1 in maintenance down to 2 in use + ??? the others... :ouch:

lemon_torte 25th Sep 2004 17:46

Havent they just lost their air ambulance contract? Prob means that they wont be hiring anyone soon.:(

Tinstaafl 25th Sep 2004 18:05

That's what i was alluding to.

DB6 26th Sep 2004 05:59

Saab 2000, Dash 8, more Saab 340s, ATR 42, ATPs, Concordes:E . Lots of rumours, no decision as yet.

So Yogi has lost the Ambo contract... who has got it now and what hardware are they going to use...?

Firestorm 27th Sep 2004 09:24

Gamma, using King Airs and a helicopter. Loganair wanted to use Jetstreams.

Tinstaafl 27th Sep 2004 16:35

How were they planning on using the Jetstreams? No way would a J31 get in & out of the outer island strips.

DB6 27th Sep 2004 18:20

Erm, and a Kingair Tinstaaffl?.....helicopters as well.
Present contract lasts until 2006 so no change just yet.

Mister Geezer 28th Sep 2004 11:43

I heard that Gama will be using Kingairs and the chopper will be a 332 operated by Bond.
