validity of atpl exams
hi readers
could someone tell me that how long is atpl theory exams are valid till, I did my exams in 2001, still dont have 1500 hours to get the atpl issued :ok: :ok: |
"7 years from the date of your last IR issue or revalidation" rings a bell ...
If you don't have an IR then you better get your skates on, you get 36 months from the date of sitting the exams to actually getting the IR issued, before they go invalid. |
Yep, quoting JAR–FCL 1.495, paragraph (b):
"A pass in the ATPL(A) [theoretical] knowledge examination will remain valid for a period of 7 years from the last validity date of the IR(A) entered in the CPL(A) for the issuance of an ATPL(A)." MF |
I must be thick, but this still isn't clear to me.
"Last valididy date of the IR(A) issued in the CPL..." Does that mean 8 years from the FIRST IR that you get after doing the exams and CPL skill test, or your most recent (last) IR(A) which would mean your ATPL(A) exams would be valid as long as you kept the CPL/IR current? |
Your most recent IR be it on a CAA licence or an ICAO licence. As long as its some form of valid IR.
ATPL(A) exams would be valid as long as you kept the CPL/IR current? Yes that is correct. MJ |
