Poll - paid for type rating and got a job?
 

Been reading with interest about the pitfalls and merits (?) of a self sponsored type rating but I would really like to hear from anyone who actually has funded their own type rating and got a job out of it.

The rights and wrongs of a SSTR have been done to death here but would like to hear from anyone who has taken the financial plunge and what the end result was - good or bad.
