Hi all, some very interesting posts above!

I have just been invited for assessment on the 14th April, anyone else attending on that day?

If anyone has any recent news or advice on the day or the AQC as a whole, feel free to post or PM.

Many thanks in advance

Rich

Hi there all,

I've been invited for the assessment day on 19th of May.

I've been gathering some information about this assessment but I stil have some questions surrounding my mind.

I read the questions about all the phases but I'm still wondering how much do I have to pay for AQC in case I pass the second and third phase.

Is anyone else attending on 19th of May?

Thanks,
Josema

CTC Wings ATP Scheme (Merged)

Another nail in the coffin of this once great career.....

EASYJET CHOOSES CTC AVIATION AS PREFERRED PILOT SUPPLIER
The long standing relationship between CTC Aviation Group plc and easyJet has been further
reinforced by the announcement that easyJet has chosen CTC as their preferred supplier of
pilots for the next 5 years.

Hopefully that'll be good for us ATP guys!!! Still might be a long wait in the hold pool though I reckon......

I've only just got into the hold pool Are there any other guys out there also in the hold pool? If so how long have you been waiting for?? Just trying to get a perspective on how long the wait is likely to be.....

Thanks

I'm thinking about applying to the ATP programme as well, but I'm getting conflicting info on whether, after paying the ACQ (£6000), the candidate is supposed to pay for TR as well at the eventual company (EZY or other)?

The CTC wings cadet pool is also still filled nicely I suppose, and the have priority over ATP, right? Is there any movement in the holding pools with respects to the announced EZY recruitment?

CTC doesn't tell much about the difference between cadet and ATP. There is apparently 2 different holding pools but I guess nobody really knows how it works.
The Type rating needs to be paid for at the moment and only easyJet is concerned so far. We all know how quickly can everything change and tomorrow may be worst or better.
But if it worst comes to worst, expect 6k for the AQC + another 10k (or about) for the A320 TR.

CTC make the differences between the holding pools quite clear.

Wings cadets are placed ahead of ATP cadets.

ATP cadets are placed when CTC are unable to meet the demands of a customer airline with Wings cadets.

So how do we find out roughly how many guys & girls are in the hold pool and if the atp is worth a shot?

CTC ATP EJ vs Oxford EJ?

If I am reading this correctly then the cost of the AQC course is about £6k, then for Easy the TR would be extra? (£10k above)

Is this currently for an Easy contract or for the CTC flexi crew contract?

Either way how come this is closer to £16k when Oxford are charging £35k just for the TR and 75hrs line training?

If selected for Oxford it seems that there are only a handful of people ahead but the chance of being out of work during the winter. How does this compare to the current contract/pool for CTC?

The AQC costs around £6700 Inc vat and full board.
The last person I knew to go through paid around £5000 toward the type rating with EZY.

Are there any recent ATPers that can clarify that this is still the case??
