Has anyone with the assessment on 25/26th of April already received an answer?

I'm still waiting to hear anything back from them. Applied over a month ago. Anyone else waiting?

Holding pool

Hello! I had an assessment with Wizz UK in the week of the 18th of April. I thought I’d tell you the process:

I first applied in July 2021, and my application status was “We are currently reviewing all applications” until December, when they emailed to say the recruitment for the year was over. They gave me a link through which to reapply for year 2022.
In early March I attended a pilot recruitment open morning, where they provided a company overview and took my email to check my application. Within two weeks my status had changed to “Forwarded as applicant”.
In early April I received an email inviting me to a two-day interview in the third week of April at L3 in Crawley. There were multiple days to choose from but only limited slots available. This gave me two weeks notice.
They told us at the interview to expect to hear within two weeks, and it turned out to be a little over one week.

I’m now excited to be in a hold pool! The process from recruitment event to hired took less than two months.

It seems that most people I met at the assessments had gone to a recruitment open day. If you’re serious about joining, the best advice I can give is to keep a lookout for pilot recruitment events- and cancel any and all plans to make sure you get to one, and don’t leave until they’ve taken your details.

Thanks for the info. I am trying to find a pilot recruitment day to attend but all I can find are cabin crew recruitment days. Do you know if they are holding any in the near future? Thanks

Hey! So for you guys asking about the assessment process...

It was a two-day event, that consisted of:
Day 1:
  • Company overview presentation. All good, explaining the terms and conditions, and telling you about the company - though you should know the company details by the time you've got to the interview!!
  • ATPL theory exam. Computer based, multiple-choice. Also covered some company / fleet knowledge, and some mental maths - including conversions (feet/miles/kilometres, etc.)
  • Group exercise. Not much to say - be a team player!!
  • Tech/HR/Personal interview combined into one. I can give you some general feedback, but everybody had a different experience. Generally it was very conversational and didn't feel confrontational. But they expect the knowledge: You should be prepared to answer detailed questions about the two types you're most familiar with from your logbook, and answer ATPL theory questions.
Day 2:
  • Sim assessment. A full motion, one hour flight (0.5 PF 0.5 PM) in an A320. For non-TR there's no expectation of knowledge, it's just an assessment of your flying skills. A straight out departure, some general handling including steep turns, climbs and descents whilst maintaining an assigned speed and turning to headings, then a small probably non-technical issue requiring a decision to return, then vectors for an ILS.
  • Aptitude testing. Taking up to three hours, and comprising of 4 different tests. Sybiotics ADAPT....

Ok there's a massive caveat here: Don't rely on anything above. Things could change, and do change. Plus this was for Wizz UK, and it was only their first recruitment event - so things are likely to be different in the future.

For the second time, i’ve booked a slot and after some days i received an email that said they are unable to schedule my assessment as planned cause the slot has been closed before they expected.
Someone had the same problem?

hi all, I have a doubt, I applied to wizz some time ago, when I enter my profile I see two applications, one says "hungary (HU), forwarded as applicant" the other one says "United kingdom (GB) once we launch assesment days, you will be informed via email and you will have the chance to book"

But I'm from spain, I don't have right to live nor work on UK, I don't know how I get that UK application, if I book for UK assesment, can I get an EU work anyway or I will be rejected? I wrote to [email protected] to ask but I didn't get an answer

If you go to your candidate profile page, you will be able to see options in the top right corner. You click that and then you should be able to see "My interviews". You then click that and you should be already be able to book your assessment date.

Remember that if you will change your language on the page to US or UK dont remember exactly now, your status will change to "Invited to assessment day"

Hope I helped.
Best of luck!

What does "holding pool" exactly mean for NTR cadets, and what is the estimated awaiting time foe the TR course to begin? Moreover, is there any employment guarantee?
